Wolverines Fan
Sam Darnold now has Mims, Crowder and Davis. Ryan Tannehill has A.J. Brown but lost Davis, Smith and Humphries.
League_Champion
That's a big contract for a guy who hasn't broke 1,000 yards or 5 TDs in a season. This signing must mean that Darnold is definitely gone. Because if not wouldn't you trade out of 2, stockpile picks and get Ja'Marr Chase, Pitts, Smith or Waddle? He's a very talented WR, played on a team that was focused on running the ball and has ProBowl WR AJ Brown getting lots of balls. One real positive I see is an increased catch rate every year, from 52% as a rookie up to 70% last year. Doesn't seem like an outrageous contract, look at what other WR are making on average per year with recent contracts. The $27M out of 37 guaranteed seems like a larger than normal percentage. This has to mean they're staying put and drafting a QB at 2 or working on a trade for one? No? Because they can certainly get a stud WR in this draft.
