(Same as what we did in DAD last year) I thought maybe we would be past this but it's not happening so basically we will be following all the same covid rules as last year. No players opted out so at least there is that. Covid IR Unlimited covid IR (CIR) spots only for covid players. Still regular 3 player IR for injury. CIR players must be reactivated when the NFL reactivates them. CIR players will not receive a -1 contract when placed on IR. Open and free waivers in the 24 hours leading to a game's kickoff to replace a player placed on CIR that week that is in your starting lineup only. If you acquire a player via this method you must place them in your starting lineup and replace a starter who is out for covid. That acquired player is dropped on Tuesday and back into free agency pool for open bidding. You are not required to add a player. Players acquired via free waivers will not have a contract. So if a player is in your lineup and he gets covid (or the entire game is cancelled at the time he is in your starting lineup) and you have no realistic option on your bench to replace the player then you are allowed to pick up per the above (with less than 24 hours before kickoff of that game). Realistic option can be subjective. For QB's and K's if they are the starter they are a realistic option for other positions it is a little more questionable. Players who play RB/WR/TE who don't play very much and are backups for their team are not considered realistic options and can be replaced. Monday night games Teams will be able to submit backup player options for their Monday night players if they want. If the game is cancelled or that specific player gets taken out by covid for that game then the replacement player will be invoked. Once the backup player plays then this will be what happens if the starter gets covid if the player has not played his game yet then the owner can simply remove the player and put in any player (backup player if they want or someone else). 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
