Doubt it, not sure anybody here has the stomach for another purge. Forums could just be completely shut down. I was on another forum (only place I ever got banned from) that shut down all off topic talk after a forum crash, just didn't bother to recover most of it. One guy kept demanding they bring it back, he was always making demands on the site owner. BANG he got the axe. In my case I think it was one mod who had a beef with me, and the fact that I just didn't fit the massive speculation that was rampant on the site and often asked for more fact based discussion. This place is far different than it was back then, many here who talk a lot of trash would have gotten smacked regularly by the regulars. This place had some great folks but some absolute low lives as well. Bronco Billy wasn't a low life but he was always on edge for sure. I won't even go into listing others.
