JohnbGoode Posted September 15, 2021 Share Posted September 15, 2021 I'm New to fantasy football! Do I play players based on highest projected points or the match up to the other teams defense? Example: Do I play Jefferson of Minnesota projected at 84 points going against #7 defense OR Play Higgins @ Cincinnati projected 71 points going against #26 defense? Not sure what is the best method? Asp1980 Posted September 15, 2021 Share Posted September 15, 2021 Usually it's: 1. Play your studs regardless of matchups. Top players usually find ways to put up points. 2. If you have to choose between players, it's best to go with the one who has a better matchup. It usually tends to workout in your favor. (Better matchups tend to lead to higher projected points anyway) 3. Go with your gut.
