purplemonster
Not great for Gibson owners all the high value work going to McKissic. That was a rather important offsides there to finish the game. Sheesh

League_Champion
Barkley owners should be encouraged though. He did get more touches than I expected and looked full strength.
gilthorp
Sat Saquon but pleased to see his snap count go significantly up on short rest. He's good to go now. Not sure why the Giants got Goliday if they aren't going to use him.

Shepard looks like the WR to own there.

So 6 games out of 16 are the reason for some good stats? And they lost 2 of those 6 games. Just another hot take from somebody who thinks the world revolves around the NFC East.

Give up an early score, then clamp down, then start allowing one third down conversion after another, especially late.

I get that McKissic is a great player, but it's going to really bite them in the ass if they keep relegating Gibson to being strictly a 2 down, 13 minute back. He's arguably the best player they have on offense, it's just insane to me not to mix him with McKissic in those situations.

C'mon! Last place schedule this isn't the 1970s or 80s (or whenever it was last significant) where a large portion of an NFL team's schedule is based on where they finished. Exactly 2 games out of 16 (now 3 out of 17) are impacted by where you finished within your division. You'd play the other 14 teams no matter where you finished (including 6 in your division). And 6 games is still just a bit over 1/3 (.375) of their season, so less than 40% of the games are what made their numbers impressive? And who were those "last place teams" they played in 2020, DET and CAR, who both beat WAS. I guess they padded defensive stats in those losses, BRILLIANT! For somebody who talks so much about the NFL you sure don't understand basics or just repeat nonsense that you hear from others. This stuff about first and last place schedule is always thrown around by people, like it makes up a majority or large portion of the schedule. Its just nonsense. I get it, you hate all NFC East teams, and never want to admit they do anything good, so easier to claim they suck and only looked good because they played crappy teams. Nevermind people who really know football who said the WFT had a very good defense last year, they are just morons and the great LC knows better. Genius, they did have a good defense last year. Mainly due to a padded NFC East Schedule against highschool QBs and 3 teams that had NO offensive lines. Mix in a few more creampuffs on the schedule especially later in the season and that's what you have. A good looking defense.

Shaft
Heinicke's contract has a nice incentive. He earns $125,000 for every Washington win in which he plays 60% of the snaps. He has some serious motivation to win.

He put up good fantasy points. He wasn't delivering beebees to his WRs. And that bomb that his other WR dropped was a gimme TD that could've been floated for an easy catch. He also took a sack in the first half that would've been a FG attempt otherwise. Jones certainly didn't look bad. But it's arguable how good he was. I think that if he can learn how to take care of the football and limit the turnovers he'll be very good. He reminds me a lot of Jameis. A lot of young QBs would look better if they could stop making mistakes, that includes the actual Jameis who isn't so young anymore but continues to struggle even with great coaching and talented teammates. You mean like this...down 17-0 in FG range, a chance to put pts on the board with momentum into the half and he chucks this up off balance into triple coverage. Sean Payton did not seem thrilled https://twitter.com/BSSportsbook/status/1439656936736182272?s=20 Edited September 20, 2021 by purplemonster
