Loungin834
Is he worth rostering in a 12 Team PPR League? I currently have him as RB depth but I'm thinking of dropping him. What are your thoughts?
oG1KeNoBi
In the same boat. The Ravens must know better but to me there's no way he's worse than Freeman or Bell. Perhaps his pass blocking (or lack thereof) was a factor but if anything the team could use him on Special Teams. Either way. I'm keeping him until more news comes out from the camp. We should know more no later than Thursday.
Loungin834
If this guy was given the volume I really think he's be a top 15 back. Pass blocking is the only reason I can think he would be a healthy scratch. He is averaging 6 yards a carry where as Latavius is averaging 3.4.
stevegrab
Some more info (possible reason) why TySon was inactive. https://ebonybird.com/2021/10/02/ravens-tyson-williams-healthy-scratch/ He may have a higher average yd/att but the coaches see something else. Sounds like it isn't blocking as he grades well there, way better than Murray who was the lead rusher. The author like many here thinks it is outrageous that he was not the lead back, let alone inactive. I think some just like the undrafted rookie free agent catapults to starting role and carries fantasy teams to championships storyline too much, and cannot accept that those in charge are making a wise educated decisions (too many fans think they know more than most coaches/GMs).
League_Champion
Until that whole mess plays out I do think he's worth rostering. He may end up being the RB1 when it's all said and done. But only if you have a roster spot and can afford to do it.
Montana is da Man
In 12 team, I'd hold unless you need a player for bye weeks
FinishTheDrill
I am starting to think that its saving him for late season, and let the 3 old guys battle it out for the early/mid season.
FinishTheDrill
... just a hunch.

FinishTheDrill
tough hold, basically on practice squad. oooph
Decisions
I’m dropping, but that’s bc guys like Damien, Perine, Gianwell and mckissic are out there as well as Knox and Schultz (TE) and I have latavius Murray as well. Can devote 2 bench spots to the Balt backfield mess, especially while holding juedy and Gallup with only 1 IR spot
BDav12
I am an optimist, and therefore I've held Ty'son. No more. I just don't see a way to paint a healthy scratch, especially with the other members of the rb corps having, ahem, passed their primes, in a positive light
Yoyo
Holding Gallup, really?
Loungin834
Thanks all! I’m going to keep him on my roster. I have the space. Keeping my fingers crossed that he comes on strong later in the season. Good luck all.
stevegrab
He was dropped for Gainwell in my league, where we have a very deep bench (start 9 bench 9). Hard to see him having value going forward. Doubt they're holding him for the end of the season, if he's truly the best back he'd be playing now ensuring the best possible record for playoff positioning.
FinishTheDrill
Dropped him for a top 15 QB, will hopefully use for trade bait later on when someone's starter goes south.
Yoyo
Holding currently, hoping Ravens drop or trade him and gets picked up elsewhete.
