Dcat
I've got the Denver defense and McManus this week in as many places as I can get them. I think McManus kicks 5 field goals in the zillion possessions Denver will have.
PotentialNobody
Baker Mayfield QB (OUT, Shoulder) Jarvis Landry WR (Q, Knee) Nick Chubb RB (OUT, Calf) Kareem Hunt RB (IR, Calf) Odell Beckham Jr WR (Q, Shoulder) David Njoku TE (Q, Knee) Jack Conklin OL (Q, Ankle) Jedrick Wills OL (Q,Ankle) JC Tretter OL (Q) Chris Hubbard OL (IR) Andy Janovich FB (IR, Hamstring) Nick Harris OL (IR) Drew Forbes (IR, Knee) Joel Bitonio OL and Wyatt Teller OL are only Browns offensive starters that don’t carry an injury designation. That doesn’t include the 10 defensive players that carry a designation

I thought the Denver defense was supposed to be good. They couldn't stop my grandmother. They mentioned in the pre-game that Denver built up some of their stats on both sides of the ball against 3 very bad teams to start the season. So them being regarded as some great defense coming into the game was definitely impacted by that Regarding Baker, I was reading this article earlier, very in depth discussion of the shoulder injury, with input from a doctor in that field who doesn't treat Baker but does work with top athletes and knows his shoulder specialist. Sounds like the best option is to sit for a few weeks, see if he can heal some and play better down 2nd half of season. I fear if he keeps playing he gets hurt worse, causes the Browns to lose more games and ultimately derails his own career and potential for a big contract. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/baker-mayfield-needs-4-6-months-to-recover-from-shoulder-surgery-if-it-doesn-t-get-worse-surgeon-says-fracture-is-non-displaced/ar-AAPQEjt?ocid=msedgntp

They've given up almost 400/game in their last 4, after a lower 220/game. Their points allowed were also skewed in those first 3, with and an average points per game of 9 compared to 25 in the last 4. They looked good early, playing bad teams (NYG, JAX, NYJ), that is what I was talking about regarding the pre-game discussion.

Geez deflect much? How about answering the question, which defense is better, Broncos or Ravens. Why do you use yardage alone as a barometer for ranking a defense? stevegrab
1 hour ago, LordOpie said: You misunderstand... Denver wss supposed to be that good against good teams. Nope didn't really misunderstand, I was talking about how people still perceived them to be a top defense going into the Browns game, or at least after the first 3 games. It wasn't just a pre-season based on how they looked on paper thing. Many teams were "supposed to be ...." something different based on off season talk, I expected a much better Browns defense based on the talent added thru free agency and the draft. But that has yet to materialize for a variety of reasons.
