Start Mahomes or Burrow this week???

I’m having a hard time picking who to start. Seems like the wheels are falling off in KC. Mahomes had a terrible game last week including being removed from the game in the fourth quarter for a head injury although he cleared concussion protocol. The play the giants this week. Joe Burrow tore it up against the Ravens defense and nobody saw that coming. They play the Jets and the bengals have been playing well. Mahomes has more fantasy points overall but it seems like burrow is heating up. My gut is saying start burrow but the projections say Mahomes will be better. Any and all advice is helpful

There is good reason to be concerned about Mahomes, and you have a very good QB that you can use instead.

I'd probably go with Burrow. Ask yourself what will bug you more, benching Mahomes and being wrong, or not benching him and being wrong? (And by being wrong I mean it costing you the game, not just the benched player scoring more.)

Only other factor is the opposing defense, I see that the Jets are shown as 4th best against the pass (in CBS opposition ranking). Not sure where that is coming from, as the actual NFL stats show NYJ are middle of the pack in receiving yards. I think it is a "QB fantasy scoring against that team" kind of measure.

This is a tough dilemma and a good problem to have.  If Mahomes is  healthy, I think you play him.  He had one terrible game so I think KC is going to come out of the gate hard vs the Giants D (though playing above expectations, they're not great on the road and I can't see them containing all the weapons KC has...and I am a Giants fan.)  KC can't go 3-5 entering amost midway into the season.  Burrow is probably a safer play and will score you decent points.  I have Burrow in another league and I am playing him.

Can't go wrong with either, just one (Mahomes) has the potential to outscore the other by a little more.  I always go with my gut...go with yours if it is usually not wrong.

Good Luck
