Hopkins Value upon Return

Was able to sneak Hopkins for peanuts at the end of an auction draft since nobody had given much of a thought to him.  What are expectations for his return?  My WR depth right now is Evans/AJ Brown/Allen Robinson, so I’m okay there.  Would you start Hopkins over any of them?

He's good insurance to have in case any of your top 3 get injured during the year. DHop wasn't doing great last year but it may have been due to a lingering injury, or Murray was just spreading the ball around more. He's a good gamble, so when he comes back I would wait to see how he does and how involved he is with the offense before starting him.

I was just getting ready to make a post about him. In a $200 auction draft his average draft value is $5. In a 15 game regular season (not even counting playoffs) his 6 game suspension is 40% of the season. Interpolating that based on $5 average value implies he would be an $8 player if he were playing a full season.

You'll have to commit a roster spot to him for 6 games obvi, but that's still an absolute steal IMO. If his suspension is somehow reduced and/or if you factor in having him for the playoffs, he's being valued even cheaper.

Not sure how much he went for in your league, but damn if I don't love the upside and potential bang for your buck here.

Got him for $5.  I spent all $200, but tried to save just a buck or two above everyone else so I can get a steal or sleeper I’m high on at the end.  Worked out!  It’s a keeper league so who knows he may be worth keeping if he doesn’t totally fall off this year.
