Pretty satisfied, but please critique! Draft '22

Assuming 12-team PPR with 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1FLEX, 1K, 1DST, this is an excellent draft.  Allen is obviously a Tier 1 QB, and Harris/Zeke at RB1 and RB2 is a great combo.  The depth with Mitchell at RB3 is super solid, and clearly your flex, and Pollard is one of the best handcuffs as he has great stand-alone value.

Diggs is also top, but the rest of the WRs get a little weak -- obviously you focused on RB, and I'm guessing you reached a little to take Josh Allen.  But Mooney should be serviceable and if either Olave or Pickens hit their ceiling, you'll look like the king of draft day.

Waller is controversial in that some think he's top 5 while others are fading him given the competition he'll face for targets.  I'm a little more in the fade camp, but you can't complain about this pick.  Clearly you'll need a back-up at some point for the off week.

I suspect you've listed your draft order, as Harris is 1.07, and if you picked up Diggs with 2.05, you did great.

Now, if this is instead a 10-team league, my rating of excellent drops to solid if not spectacular.  A good draft, even if not a great one with 2 less teams.  I suspect this is likely the case give the Diggs-Waller-Elliott-Mitchell picks, as I can't see how'd you get all four of those guys in rounds 2-5 of a 12-team league.  If you did, bully to you!

Josh Allen in the 3rd is an overpay for me in a 10 team league. You can get better value later in the draft at QB, same at TE. That's where you could of found RB/WR value. Your depth is hurting because of it. Nonetheless it's not horrible but you'll need some waiver wire luck along the way.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon to second this, as now that I know it was a 10-team league, my rating of "solid but not spectacular" holds.  If, instead of Allen at 3.07 you could of taken Chubb, Conner, Pittman, AJ Brown, Higgins, or DJ Moore, and waited until the 5th round and still likely got Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Tom Brady, or Russell Wilson (some of these guys would have been there in the 6th or even 7th rounds too).

This is one of the reasons I've passed on Travis Kelce numerous times over the past few seasons if he comes available to me in the 1st or early 2nd rounds--the opportunity cost is too high.  I'd rather take a less valuable TE later on to focus on RB or WR talent in a pool that will drain faster than at TE.  The same goes for QB.  And despite one of my leagues being a Superflex, my QB2 is routinely the last QB off the board.  Let the others reach.

That being said, it's easier to improve a team in 10-man as the waiver wire should have plenty on it.  Keep your eye out for more of those high upside RBs and WRs (like PIckens) that likely went undrafted.  Maybe Rachaad White, Tyler Allgeier, or Isaiah Spiller at RB, or Nico Collins, Josh Palmer, KJ Osborn, or even Julio Jones at WR.
