That sucks, hope he recovers fully.

Not sure if that is a bad part of town or not, first thing I saw when looking for H Street NE in DC was that it is an "artsy strip with hip bars and restaurants" (Google maps), and looking at the 1000 block on Google Map street view doesn't look like the ghetto.

Car jacking doesn't typically happen in bad neighborhoods because typically people who drive the types of cars that get jacked aren't dumb enough to drive them through bad neighborhoods.

Apparently this happened before our dynasty draft last night and I didn't see the news.  I was too busy fixing all the keepers from the rest of the guys that didn't get them in.

And then I took him in the 2nd round.  manure.

By all accounts he should be ok, especially dynasty.

I'm actually thinking that too.  And I was drafting 10th round with each pick so at 2.10, it was already lean.  Picked up Jalen Tolbert next, then Jameson Williams, who is also broken.  1.10 was Olave, hopefully he pans out.

As for Robinson, he's one of the few I watched with interest in college. I couldn't believe he fell so far.  lol.  Yeah, the other guys all knew.

Many cars are stolen simply to commit other crimes, don't have to be an expensive car like this guy had. I was mostly curious about the area since I know DC has bad parts, and since somebody else asked why he was "rolling thru H Block in an $80K Hellcat".

I know the number increased during the pandemic, Cleveland had a 50% increase from 2019 to 2021. One involved an off duty police officer on New Year's Eve who was shot dead after he gave them the keys. (The suspect was caught, prosecuted and found guilty. The incident happened in the officers apartment building parking lot in a nice neighborhood, I don't recall the car being anything high end.)

Sorry I know its off topic from the "fantasy football angle".

Nobody said it was the "ghetto" Steve but thank you. Racist Bobby would be proud.

It obviously wasn't a nice part of town or he wouldn't of gotten car jacked. It is Washington DC though, not exactly the safest City in America.

You don't know squat about the area, or where people get carjacked. Just spreading the Snooki love around.

No major city in America is exactly the safest city in America. But then you know that, of course you'll say "that's because Democrats run them and they love criminals."

(Apologies to the rest of the forum for spinning this thread out of control, I won't be replying any more regarding this part of it.)

As for that area. My company's division office is not far from where this occurred and the hotel I stay in is not far from there on E street. That's not really a bad part of town. It's mostly a business district with a lot of eateries, clubs, apartments etc. I've walked all over that place by myself at night going to & from dinner with no issues.
