Brennan1978
Any word on how long Robinson will be out? As a human being I am glad he’s ok and feel for the guy. But is Gibson now a clear RB2 in the meantime? Robinson could return this year but I don’t think there has been any word when
darin3
I think it's safe to say Robinson will be out for an extended period of time.... although I have not read definitive word on that. It obviously improves Gibson's hold on the #1 back for the Commanders, though. I would classify GIbson as a very-low-end RB2 in most league sizes / PPR even with this news coming out. I'd feel more comfortable with him as my RB3 and/or flex. J.D. McKissic is going to work himself into a lot of the game-planning and catch a ton of balls, most likely.
League_Champion
It's Gibson's job as long as he can hold on to the ball. That's exactly what it's going to come down to, regardless of when Robinson comes back. If Gibson can do that then Robinson's roll will be limited. dirtyharry319
I keep looking for info on this RB situation too. Gibson has not put himself in a good spot with this coaching staff. I know they really really like McKissock and I could see JD being named the starter. He is not as explosive as Gibson but would be a 3 down RB who is very good as blitz recognition and pick-up. I would avoid the Wash RB situation if you can
tdybaz
Coaching staff said he "should return" sometime this year, but even if he does I don't imagine he'll just pick up as the RB1 again. Gibson's value is increased a little, but I wouldn't invest in him long-term.
Montana is da Man
I like Gibson as a rb3 / flex. In PPR, I like him less
