Feeling okay about my RB depth, but would love to stash another one...

  • Jerick McKinnon
  • Isiah Pacheco
  • JD McKissic
  • Khalil Herbert
  • Tyler Allgeier
  • Eno Benjamin
  • Kenyan Drake

10-team 0.5 ppr redraft league

LC's qustions are valid.

Assuming redraft, I rank them:

Herbert

Pacheco

Allgeier

McKissic

Benjamin

McKinnon

Thanks for the ranking!

Forgot Kenyan Drake signed with the Ravens.... where would you put him in the list?

Assuming it's the team in your signature where you have Ekeler and Swift already, and based on your roster would be playing a WR at flex 90%+ of the time, I'd aim for rostering the more lottery ticket guys:

Herbert, Benjamin, Pacheco, Allgeier, McKinnon, McKissic

The last 2 probably have the most standalone value based on their PPR value, but limited upside even if the starter goes down.

Herbert looks good when he runs, but he is in a crappy offense with a good 3 down back ahead of him, but recent scuttlebutt is that the new staff really likes Herbert and it's possible he pushes this to a committee or gets lead back status at some point.

Benjamin appears to have passed Williams as the backup in Arizona, a very valuable RB spot if Conner gets hurt.

Allgeier and Pacheco are both bigger lottery tickets with a less likely path to major relevance. @League_Championand I have both said he is overvalued currently, but, there is a path where he finds relevance, I just think it's a very small likelihood of happening. Allgeier is in a similar spot - he has a path, but it's slim and not sure how much value in the ATL backfield.

McKissic is the most valuable, he's going to catch balls every week.

Tyler Allgier will be starting by week 6 (bold prediction).

The others are just lottery tickets.

Yup it's the team in my signature. Thanks for the feedback! I agree that McKissic will catch balls every week and put up usable points, but I think with my current depth, I want a lottery ticket.

I was leaning Benjamin, just because I have Mooney and don't want too much of my roster invested in the Bears offense... I also forgot Drake is available, so kicking around the idea of picking him up if Dobbins is out and trying to trade him if he has a good Week 1... Thoughts?

Dobbins isn't playing week 1, guaranteed. Harbaugh knows he's not ready.  I'd unload Dobbins faster than you can think it. The only problem is that he has no value right now.

Disagree on Dobbins - he'll most likely be fine this year, just not the first few weeks - he's a slight risk but a strong buy at his current plummeting ADP. I just got him at the 7.11 (FFPC Best Ball tourney team) and feel like at that price it was an easy buy despite the risk. If the Dobbins owner is looking to drop him, you can get him at a big discount.

I wouldn't count on Drake being anything special - possibly a small role as a COP back, he's only there due to the short term uncertainty of Dobbins and Edwards. If your looking for lottery ticket with a better chance of paying off, it's one of Herbert, Benjamin then maybe Allgeier, but I really think its one of those first two.

It's an unnecessary risk though. Reports out of Baltimore are not good, at all. I can still get nice talent in the 7th. I'm out on both Dobbins & Akers.

Yeah, I'm also out on Dobbins and Akers. I don't have either. But, was kicking around the idea of picking up Drake as a buy-low sell-high candidate.

Yeah I think that's where I'm headed too. Probably will pick up Benjamin since I can stack him with Kyler.

Managed league I could see putting a DND on them (and I have pretty much done that on Akers in all formats)

But best ball (as in my example), it's a bit easier to absorb the hit if he doesn't recover. For example, in the draft I'm heading out to shortly, I will not be drafting Dobbins or Akers - but it's a weekly managed league, it's got a lot of RB whores in it (so I will likely be stacked at WR if it goes as it had in years past, though a couple new owners this year), so I just hope those two go earlier and I can get my priority late RB targets
