12 team DYNASTY PPR IDP 5 round mini draft

ALL TD - 6, get a point for 25 yards passing, 10 yards rush/rec, being IDP individual player gets point for every 10 yards kick/punt return. Also point per pass completion

Relevant for post start QB-1 RB-2 WR-2 Flex-1 can be RB/WR/TE

My players

QB LAC Herbert, NYG Jones, NYJ Wilson

RB PIT Harris, CIN Mixon, BAL Dobbins & Edwards, SF Mitchell, LV Abdullah

WR MIA Waddle, CAR Moore, LV Renfrow, DEN Sutton, LAR Robinson, DET Chark

I have R1-5, R2-2, R3-10 &11, R4-2

There is a good possibility first 4 picks could all be RB given needs. In a Dynasty league would the 5th RB even be worth it? Maybe 3 RB & 1 WR might happen. In these scenarios do I instead go for the # 1 or 2 WR instead? Or do I take a QB? I really need a good backup QB. With 6 point TD & point per completion QB scoring is HUGE. Weak QB games are 40 points. I don't see the best QB lasting till the 14th pick overall. I could use some youth at DB. Figured I could use R3 for that. Would like to use at least my first 2 picks for offense.

What's your assessment?

There's a legendary fantasy football manager who, concerning the draft, said "Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup." He is renowned in the fantasy community as the greatest of all time. His name was Bruce Lee.

Oh, and he dabbled in martial arts too, I heard.

He'll whip your ass in fantasy, then whip your ass in real life.

Thank you for the advice & it is good advice. I'm not one lock myself in to a position generally. However a few points come into play here. One this is a Dynasty league. So the players I get can be mine for years to come. Two guys such as Mixon & Robinson are starting to age out. As the creator of The Huddle himself says - always be churning your roster. Even for the smallest percentage. Considering how I anticipate the draft going the best available is likely going to be either a WR or maybe a QB. Keep mind being a Dynasty league best available doesn't necessarily have be a player starts week 1.
