Can we drop a player on bench after the TNF game in NFL Fantasy App?

Recommended Posts

Someone in my league dropped Amari Cooper this morning and he is on waivers. I am planning to submit a bid for him and I see that the waivers will be cleared on Friday morning. The  player I want to drop is James Cook from Buffalo Bills, who play Thursday Night. If I submit a claim to add Cooper and drop Cook, will my waiver claim get rejected because James Cook would have already played on Thursday Night and the waivers get processed on Friday morning? I am new to this App so I am not sure what would happen in this case.

I would be surprised if that is allowed. Never played on NFL fantasy but once a player's game has started they are on your team for that week, and active or bench based on their current status. Only players on a bye week have a kind of special situation where they could be dropped at any time since they never had a game that week and were not eligible to be in your starting lineup to begin with.

Only way to pull that off would be to drop Cook before the game starts and then try to add Cooper thru waivers. But then if you lose out on waivers you're also without Cook.
