Briggssteel
In both leagues I’m eyeing Jahan Dotson, Gerald Everett, and possibly Jeff Wilson. I’m wondering where my priority should be and who to drop. I totaled .5 between both Tight Ends, which is horrendous but I have to think Knox will get more usage and Kmet was playing on inches of water. Not sure if I go hard after Everett. Dotson looks very good and is getting a lot of usage immediately. Not sure if I should make a move or stay pat. My gut says Lockett and Pickens are droppable after their low target share. Standard 10 team: QB: Hurts, Cousins RB: Dalvin Cook, Breece Hall, AJ Dillon, Antonio Gibson, Darrel Henderson, Mattison WR: Devante Adams, Michael Pittman, Amon Ra St Brown, Elijah Moore, Tyler Lockett TE: Knox PPR 10 Team: QB: Burrow, Lance RB: Najee Harris, Swift, Elliot, Dameon Pierce, Darrel Henderson WR: AJ Brown, Mike Evans, Gabe Davis, Allen Robinson, Deandre Hopkins, George Pickens TE: Kmet
tdybaz
Word of warning: Tre McKitty (sounds like a Scottish cat tamer) also had 4 targets, so they're spreading the ball around to include everyone as well as Everett. And Josh Palmer should be even more involved this week w/o Keenan Allen, so Everett should produce some but I don't think he'll explode. I would not drop George Pickens... tons of good chatter from camp about him, he's had ONE GAME in his rookie year. If you drafted him, give him a few games at least for their offense to get settled. Lockett, however, can be dropped because he's always been hit or miss, and I fear it'll be worse without Russ. Kmet's lack of production was an outlier because of the water. Knox's production is always hit or miss it seems, but then again most TEs are. I wouldn't overreact just yet.
Briggssteel
Good points. I do like Pickens and don’t want to drop him. Agreed that Lockett has always been very up and down and it will likely be worse. Geno looked like he was spreading it around more than Russ did. Tight end is always insanely hot or miss unless you spent up for a top 3 or 4 player and I can never bring myself to pass on an elite back or receiver. Everett’s usage does look good but he’s also a guy who’s been in the league a long time so we know what he is. Like he’s not going to be the next Mark Andrews or anything.
