JET FAN
Need 2 here (assuming Chris Brown, the man with a glass toe sits again just before kickoff). And yes...this is ugly: T Minor (not good vs. Bills, but someone has to get the carries, right?) L Evans (big week last week, but inconsistent; playing the Dolphins Sunday) J Pathon (gets a few grabs each week; playing Carolina...a tough Pass Def) D Gabreil (#3 WR; also some grabs each week; playing KC Def) S Bryson (backs up K Jones; comes in for some passing downs) J Scobey (3rd down back, behind L Croom, whose behind E Smith) I believe these are less likely options: J Wells (backs up D Davis; may see some carries) B Hoover (backs up N Goings vs soft New Orleans Def) A Toomer (1 catch for 6 yards...Giants passing game stinks...being polite) It is a mess, but my gut tells me that I might play Minor to get some carries and flip a coin between Evans and Gabreil? Which Defense? Atlanta vs. TB (My starting Def which is OK each week) Carolina vs. NO (just picked up Carolina...they have been coming on) Thanks in advance. Steelhead
I agree with Minor and Evans. I'd go with CAR because they have been playing good as of late. I also have a DEF post as well.

Either way, Minor's nearly guaranteed 20 touches. That could translate into 75+ yards and perhaps a score. Evans is a decent sleeper this week. I believe Miami's decent pass D typically shuts down the opposing team's #1 and leaves the #2 open for big plays. Play Carolina. Brooks is prone to making big mistakes. Midget Chain Gang
I agree, play Evans and Minor. As for defense, it depends... do you get penalized for TDs and/or yards against? If you do, I'd consider playing the Falcons, because TB is less likely to put up 30 points than the Saints are. If you don't get penalized for those things, I'd go with Carolina because the Saints will most likely turn it over more than the Bucs will. Ben-waa
YUCK...would hate to have to plug any of those guys into my lineup. I will have to agree with the others on this one. Minor and Evans. Carolina should at least cause some mistakes on the part of Brooks. Ben
JET FAN
Thanks for the replies. So it looks like Minor, Evans & Carolina's Defense. Anyone else think differently? In the rare nutty event that the man with the glass toe (Chris Brown) plays I'd say Minor starts but Evans sits? What do you think? By the way our defenses do get penalized for total points against, but do get points for returned TD's, Int's, Fumb Rec's, Sacks, Safeties, etc., but no penalities for Yards Against. Thanks again. There aren't many situations that I would start Brown this week...but this is definitely one of them. Ben
