hoof
I think that a game was thrown (lost on purpose) in the final week of the season. The guy left Culpepper and did not start his defense. He lost 68 to 85. The guy he lost to now made the playoffs also. THis is not sour grapes, because I too made the playoffs, but think that something fishy went on. Starters: Drew Brees QB 1.22 Ben Roethlisberger QB 18.42 Jerome Bettis RB 0.85 Brian Westbrook RB 27.65 Isaac Bruce WR 0.90 Rod Smith WR 3.80 David Patten WR 9.70 Dallas Clark TE 0.00 Adam Vinatieri K 6.00 Bench: Daunte Culpepper 17.08 Ahman Green RB 2.70 Fred Taylor RB 5.50 Thomas Jones RB 3.55 Johnnie Morton WR 1.15 Randy McMichael TE 0.70 Seattle Seahawks Def 6.00 Starters: 68.54 Bench: 36.68 Edited December 7, 2004 by hoof
Phat Rugby
Not really throwing the game. I would have started Breese over Cpep this week. Breese was supposed to be in a shootout with Denver and was at home. It cost me a chance at the playoffs. As far as the D goes, that's either stupid or maybe he just did not care. There really is not any obvious bad choices here. The rest of his lineup should have been solid, but had average weeks. If his players did what was projected, he would have won the game. Guggs
In my opinion you never bench Culpepper. Ben does not put up good fantasy numbers. I don't know why he would bench Culpepper.
LegFuJohnson
Yes, it was thrown.
1badfish
It looks clean to me. Not starting the Def is questionable but I wouldn't say the game was thrown.
gregous613
keeper league??? If so that would make sense in case draft position is based on record.
whoopdido
Even using his optimal lineup he still would have lost 85 to 82. Green was banged up, so I could see not starting him. I guess the only fishy thing would be not starting Culpepper, but who knows.
