koralkillers
One of my Leagues that I am in is a first year league.Ten team league with 2 Divisions. Top two teams from each division make playoffs. We are more than likely going to have a tie with 2 teams. The League is done on CBS sportsline and there are no Tie braking rules listed.I called commisioner and he said we will use NFL tiebraking rules which is head to head first then Division record. The two teams that are going to probably tie split there 2 head to head games so then we go to division records, only problem is one team had 8 division games and the other team had 9 division games the team with 8 was 4-4 in div. and the team with 9 is 5-4. Is this the fair way to go? being that one team played extra division game or should there be another tie braker applied. Please help me with this, trying to be fair to all teams involved.thanks
stevetatro
Points. It's all about the points, in my opinion. Obviously record is important, that's why we play the game. The true test of which team is better (for a tiebreaker) is who's scored more points the 13 (or 14) weeks of the regular season. My leagues all use total points as the tiebreaker (after head-to-head). Good luck.

pzarvell
Yep. Points. You can't have a tie-breaker when both parties aren't equal (divisional games). You COULD have the lesser guy play a double header - playing the same team the other owner played extra... but that gets confusing. Just go with points.
