Grits and Shins
Another interesting note ... over the course of the year I have started: 4 different QBs Pennington - 6 times Warner - 2 times Favre - 6 times Griese - once and only once 7 different RBs James - 13 times OSmith - 1 time Dunn - 4 times MMoore - 3 times Wheatley - 2 times McGahee - 6 times JJones - 1 time 7 different WRs Ward - 10 times Mason - 13 times Moulds - 7 times Clayton - 9 times Boldin - 3 times JSmith - 2 times FJones - 1 time 3 different kickers Feely - 7 times Graham - 7 times Stover - 1 time 4 different defenses Dallas - 1 time Washington - 1 time Oakland - 1 time Buffalo - 11 times That means there is NOT ONE SINGLE player that has started every week for me  ... although I shouldn't have benched James week 14 and I shouldn't have benched Mason week 15 ... otherwise those guys have started every other week (not counting their byes). Scrambled
I got there with an excellent draft and some good weekly pickups. Most of all, i got there by starting the guys who would get me the most points each week

dante
Drafted: Favre DD Suggs/Foster (I went too strong at WR and was left limping at RB2 all year) R Moss J Horn J Smith Stover NE D Current Lineup: Favre DD Larry Johnson R Moss J Horn J smith Stover NE D I picked up Plax off waivers early when someone dropped him and he played well for me a week or 2. I used Burleson a few weeks after Moss went down. I was hurting for a few weeks mid season (Lost 4 in a row) but the pickup of LJ has lifted my team in a huge way the last leg of the season. N.I.B.
Drafted -- Bulger, Dom, Duece, Rudi, DJax, Toomer (ugh), Stallworth and Gates. Traded Rudi for Jamal Lewis (seemed like a good idea and he needed a RB due to suspension). Only big pickups during the season were Drew Bennett and the reason I am even going to the SB....Kerry Collins. I limped across the finish line with the likes of starting Jonathan Wells, KC and Denver defense, and Aaron Stecker when needed. Amazing what happens...every year I do this I laugh at some guy at the draft who just picked like a moron....I play him this weekend. HA-HA! Good luck to all!!! Merry Christmas!!! tmkeegan
I have the worst team but am still in the semis: I had Priest Holmes, Blaylock and Travis Henry but someone drafted both of their backups and I was offered LJ but I needed WRs so here is my lineup last week. Collins (sat Favre)-the ballsiest FF move I have ever made Allstott Sammy Morris Horn DJax McMike Taylor, J Den. Do not even ask how I got this far with that slop. Another Festivus Miracle! steeler
OUTRAGED - It's a BOTH league where you can keep up to 3 players, each player you keep costs you a draft pick based on the previous years draft round, minus one round. For example, If you drafted J. Jones in round #2 last year, you have the option of keeping him and losing your first round pick this year... that's the condensed version of the rules. Offseason trading was crazy as this was the first year with these keeper rules. I trade D. Culpepper (who would have cost me a first round pick) for R. Johnson (10th round keeper value). I then turned around and traded Rudi for S. Alexander (2nd round pick) and some draft picks. I also later traded draft picks for A. Brooks (7th round pick). My keepers were: S. Alexander (2), C. Portis (3), and A. Brooks (7) Other draft picks of note were W. Dunn because we can start 3 RB and 2 WR if we like, and he started out very strong. I drafted M. Muhammad and got sick of him just before he had his first really huge game -- but I was fortunate enough to beat the owner who picked him up in the first round of our playoffs My biggest mistake in this league was NOT keeping C. Martin at a cost of a 4th rounder -- but I was fortunate enough to beat the owner who drafted him last week in order to advance to the SB I also draft S. McNair in the 6th or 8th round (cant remember exactly) because he was far and away the best available player and the two guys who picked right behind me still needed QBs. I grabbed B. Volek when McNair got hurt, cut him when McNair came back, and picked him up again when McNair got hurt. I played the WW defensive switcharoo game all year until finally settling on the Buffalo Defense. This was my biggest FA aquisition all year because the D's are fairly high scoring anyway, and they have been dominant. My SB lineup: B. Volek S. Alexander C. Portis W. Dunn C. Chambers L. Fitzgerald N. Kaeding Buffalo Defense ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Born On The New Huddle - Another BOTH league. Scoring is pretty standard except we get one point per reception from all positions (a new rule for this year). We can keep up to three players and although I lost in the SB last year I had nobody I really wanted to keep. The keeper rules are a little more straight forward here... keep one, lose your first round pick, keep two, lose your first two picks, etc. The only players I gave consideration to keeping were H. Ward and S. Davis. I didn't have a good feeling about Davis and I couldn't justify keeping Ward at a cost of a first rounder.... so I kept no body. Draft: 1 K. Jones -- slow start, but I covered that possibility as you will see 2 H. Ward -- really wanted him in a PPR league -- averaged 90+ receptions over the last three years 3 T. Gonzalez -- wanted a consistent producer at this spot, especially in PPR league 4 B. Westbrook -- studly in PPR leagues 5 C. Martin -- catches enough passes in PPR leagues and had a great schedule to start the season (little did I know that he'd keep it up all year).... gutsy pick in a way because we can only start 2 RBs. And that basically was the nucleus of my team all year.... CurMar's superb start carried me early while Jones struggled and Westbrook, Gonzo, and Ward (although he has a sub-par stretch) were solid consistent contributors each and every week. Other Notable draft picks were B. Favre (7th), M. Muhammad (10th), and no I didn't cut him in this league. Best FA aquisitions were: D. Brees who I picked up fairly early in the season, B. Volek who I picked up about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I did a pretty good job of rotating the three QBs to maximize the points from that position. Played the Defensive switcharoo game here too, but wasn't able to settle on one starter... still playing the matchups at that spot. SB lineup: B. Volek B. Westbrook K. Jones M. Muhammad H. Ward T. Gonzalez N. Kaeding Miami D If you are still reading at this point, I bet you skipped alot of it
BillyBalata
Drafted Moss, CPep, Dillon and Westbrook. During the season, added thru trades...Portis, Wayne, Horn and Heap. Was 5-4 at one point but won the last 5 games of the season to finish 10-4 and won again last week for a current 6 game winning streak. One more to go. (this weeks opponent just lost TO)

reddogs2020
I drafted the following to be my starting lineup in WEEK ONE: S.McNair L.Tomlinson C.Martin E.Moulds D.Bennett B.Lloyd R.Longwell Miami This is my starting lineup for the Superbowl this week: B.Volek L.Tomlinson A.Green M.Harrison C.Johnson D.Driver J.Taylor Miami Clearly, I have made numerous changes since WEEK One. Including, but not limited to, the following: Traded C.Martin to get M.Harrison early in the season. Only recently has it worked to my benefit. Traded E.Moulds and K.Barlow (who started my season on the bench) for C.Johnson. Has only paid dividends one or two weeks. An idiot owner in my league dropped D.Driver back in WEEK 4 or 5. Another idiot owner (me) dropped D.Bennett to pick up Driver. I guess this was a good call because I would never have made it to the playoffs without Driver (before Bennett blew up). I have used about 10 different Defenses and Kickers over the course of the season. Try to play the best matchups. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. JoJoTheWebToedBoy
I made it but living off the Wavier Wire. My starting RBs this season: J. Lewis - 1/2 season at best S. Davis -- IR D. Foster -- IR T. Wheatly -- Useless QBs J. Harrington - Useless by week 5 B. Johnson - IR R. Gannon - IR WRs H. Wards - Useless by week 5 S. Moss - Useless, period D. Jackson - Still a starter R. Williams - Useless by week 5 WW pickups B. Griese B. Roethlisberger M. Pittman J. Jones L. Johnson B. Stokley S. Morris And there was a lot more 1-2 week guys that I picked up just for one game. I was scouring the WW every Tuesday AM.
