Bill Swerski
Why don't they just give Nantz a red flag he can just throw from the booth? 668660[/snapback] Wow, even the media are sick of the Pats.
keggerz
while the FG may have been the "right" thing to do, I dont agree with the call...momentum was on Pitts side and Cower immediately took the crowd out of it with that call.... Cower was playing not to lose instead of playing to win I firmly believe they should have run it 3 times with the 3rd being a roll out of sorts....then address 4th down this game would have been MUCH different had Bill had the b@lls to punch it in. Squeegiebo
Not only was the FG the wrong call, the pass play on 2nd down was far worse. 1st and goal from the 5 - give it to the Bus 4 times and he will get in the end zone. Pats outplayed the Steelers today, particularly in the 1st half. They deserve to be in the Superbowl. That doesn't mean I can't hate them and root for the Eagles as if they were my home team. Go Eagles!

steeler
FG was the right call, but as it turned out it didn't matter either way. All this "Cowher plays not to lose" Athena is wrong IMO. He went for it on 4th down today in the middle of the 1st quarter down only by three.... that's not "playing not to lose", IMO. I absolutely HATED the 2nd down jump ball to Plaxi-sucks Burress.... he never catches that Athena.
Wolv
A MUCH more entertaining game than the NFC Championship. I'm no Pitt fan, but Big Ben, as a rookie, has nothing to hang his head about...

Nothing to hold his head high about either. I gotta go to sleep. Clearly I am too bitter right now.

Bad decision, IMO. Edited January 24, 2005 by Chargerz
