I did a race in Cleveland a few years ago, only 38 flights.  I did it in a little under 5 minutes I think.

 

Legs totally went to jelly after I stopped.

I love running up steps. It's a great leg workout.

 

I guess it could be bad on your knees. (???) But I don't know if it's any worse that sprinting on flat land.
