rajncajn
Greenwood signs five-year, $22.5 million deal In a move that signals at least a minor remaking of their linebacker corps, the Houston Texans on Thursday afternoon signed unrestricted free agent Morlon Greenwood of the Miami Dolphins to a five-year contract, ESPN.com has learned. The contract is worth $22.5 million and includes a $7 million signing bonus. Greenwood will earn salaries of $540,000 (for 2005), $2.56 million (2006), $3.4 million (2007), $4 million (2008) and $5 million (2009). Those salaries include $100,000 workout bonuses for some seasons. Houston IMO, like the Giants got a very good LB under the radar.

I just hope that this shores up some of the problems, as the past two years the have had a different set of starting LB on opening day. Maybe this won't be another Clemons/Foreman bandaid. Ziachild007
Heard today that the Texans have given Jamie Sharper permission to seek a trade. So I guess they plan on playing Babin & Greenwood at OLB and Wong & Foreman on the inside. Personally I would rather have Sharper, but if they can get some good trade value, I guess it might be worth it.
Seahawks21
Man I was really hoping Greenwood was the guy Seattle had their eyes on when they released Simmons.
