"The Jets reached a deal with free agent running back Derrick Blaylock on Thursday, The Star-Ledger has learned.

Blaylock, entering his fifth NFL season, signed a five-year, $11.1 million deal that included a $3.2 million signing bonus."

Good signing for the Jets, because he'll be an excellent backup for Martin but.. $3.2 million bonus? geeeez.

Lamont got $7 million from the Raiders. In terms of value, I think Blaylock was clearly a better choice.

It's John Starks throwing down a monster dunk on Horace Grant and Michael Jordan in the '93 playoffs. It became known simply as "The Dunk."

Jets signed Jeb Putzier (Bronco TE) to an offer sheet today, as per WFAN.  I guess Denver can match it should they choose to.

Denver did choose to match the Jets' offer. Too bad, the Jets could've really used a guy like Putzier.

Broncos retained Jeb Putzier, who had signed an offer sheet with the Jets, to a five-year, $12.5 million contract.

The deal included $2.5 million in guaranteed bonuses. Putzier converted 3/4 of his catches into first downs in 2005, perhaps the best deep threat among tight ends in the league. Denver is a tight end friendly system, so we expect his numbers to improve. Mar. 10 - 7:15 pm et
