giantsfan
Okay so I have Edge, Lewis, and Portis as keepers already. Can only start 2 RB's every week. 12 team league. Lewis and Portis have the same bye week. Anyway Moss is also a keeper in this league and the guy who has Moss also has the Seattle QB's and Alexander as keepers. With questions surrounding Alexander, and RB's being more important anyway, I think it is very likely I can deal one of my 3 RB's for Moss. The question is which one do I deal? I actually like Lewis best of the 3 for just this year I think, NONE of the 3 can be kept for next year so this is ONLY for this upcoming season. Now while I think I like Lewis best of the 3 this year it isn't with a strong confidence I feel that way. And while I am thinking deal Portis, I think he can be very good with a MUCH better O line and a year in Wash under his belt, but again I can be swayed. Plus Edge's lack of TD's and pulling himself for rest get me sometimes. So who do I offer up for Moss? Or do you think I sit tight with 3 RB's and have that very tough call of whom to bench every week? Edited July 8, 2005 by giantsfan
lynch
What is the scoring for the league? That could change any advice. I would dangle Portis. What RB's will be available in the draft? If you can get a solid backup RB I would make a Portis for Moss trade. Edge had his TD's hurt because Manning was after the record this year Edge should see the ball more in the red zone. I am basing this on most standard scoring systems. If there will be any cahnce for you to get a solid 3rd RB in the draft and he will take a portis for Moss trade I would do it. Only knowing that you can get a RB in the draft though.
giantsfan
Important info is WR's and RB's get .5 per catch and 1 point every 20 yards receiving. Meanwhile RB's get 1 point every 15 yards rushing. 6 points for every TD. The RB's kept are Holmes, Edge, Portis, Lewis, Alexander, Deuce, and LT. That's all I believe. At WR I believe only Moss is kept.

Clubfoothead
Edge and Lewis. Lewis will end 2005 as the undisputed #1 RB. I've got Lewis as my #2 and thehuddle has Edge as their #3. While thehuddle is not currently high on Lewis I'll be he moves up in their rankings over the preseason. If we are both right and you combine them with Moss you should be a very good team. The Darkside
i would hold them all, you just never know, plus if you are drafting high enough, while the other owners are scrambling for rbs, i think you said that there are only 7 rbs being kept and you have 3 of them , you should be able to land a teir 1 wr like owens or holt, since you said only moss is kept, and keep your team intact, and have still have great trade bait in portis or whoever you decide later. In my league I don't pick until the 4th round. Each kept player counts as a round picked. We have an uneven amount of players kept per team. Some have 3, some have 2, some have 1, and some have 0 players kept. So the teams with 0 pick from round 1 and on. I don't pick until round 4. And with McNabb and C-Pep kept, and Manning sure to be gone 1st, and WR's like TO, Holt, and CJ gone I don't think I can afford to keep all 3 RB's IF I can deal one for Moss that is. Make sense? To start a team in a 12 team league with Edge, Lewis, and Moss is pretty good. That's 2 of the best 5 or 6 RB's, and maybe the # 1 WR. NAUgrad
I would trade Edge or Lewis out of the three. I think Edge is will have a down year this year and Portis will be much better this year. Just watch.
