KC Crazy
Santana Moss would be considered a bust by most accounts last year given what he did in 2003. I think the team change and the injuries being fully healed could spell a much better output. Maybe not the same as 2003 but top 20 numbers. Thoughts? Roo
I had Moss in '03 and fell in love with him - got him again in '04 and we broke up. He busted pretty bad - of course the hammy problems and the Jets crappy air game were sort of unexpected. A change of team might create a spark. I wish I could say I see him putting up top 15 WR numbers again, but I don't see it. Top 20 though, possibly. His main assets were his jump and topspeed, but I am worried the hammy injury slowed him down a step. Also, will he be a punt return man again this year? I'd have to hear some great arguments as to why he'd fair better on the Redskins catching balls from Ramsey. But he certainly has some nice skills, and is first on the depth chart on an offense that definately can't get worse. SpinalTapp
I see Moss putting up about 900 yds and 6 tds this year. If things go well, he might get to 1,000 yds at best. Unfortunately, I feel there is a better chance he will end up with 800 yds and 5 TDs. If you believe in the new O-Line, the new spread it out offense, and Portis' impending breakout....Moss looks a lot better. I am not so optimistic. Dirty Weasel
I think he's worthy of a WR3 spot, but not WR2. I would be happy to have him as my WR3 in a 16-team league. Nothing to phone home about in a 12-team league.
Wirsteve
I'd give him the backup spot on my team, maybe even the WR3 spot, maybe because I think with Joe Gibbs as the coach of Washington, something good has to come out of there eventually. emandg
I think you forget who is at the helm of his offense - Ramsey? come again - move on from Moss, you can probably pick him up as an add drop later in the season if he heats up - he is also a small receiver - I am not even sure that Portis will be the bomb either - right now the Washington hype is exactly that - HYPE/BS. ts
Moss will have 1 game this year where he scores x3 ... if you can pick that game, draft him ... otherwise, pass.
