SpinalTapp
What is the value of Duece Staley this season? Is he a solid flex player at best or a so-so #2RB? What stats do you project for him this year? Give me some Staley advice.
Ralph Furley
If he stays healthy, I think he's an ok #2. Not my personal choice to start every week, but you could do worse. Stat-wise...I have no idea.
Chief Dick
I would think a flex or backup position. I wouldn't want to rely on him as my #2 back.
Ralph Furley
Thinking about it, if he stays healthy, he could probably put up some decent #s. We saw how much they relied on the arm of Big Ben last year. I'd just be worried about Bettis taking the goal line carries.
SpinalTapp
As an additional question...would you rather have Suggs or Staley?
Dirty Weasel
Suggs will not lose goal line touches to Droughns, as long as he stays healthy. Staley loses goal line touches no matter what to the Bus. Here's a fun stat from last year - Sep 12th vs Oakland, Staley 24 carries for 91 yards, 0 TD's, Bettis 5 carries for 1 yard, 3 TD's The dude gained a total of 1 yard on 5 carries and scored 18 FFL points! That's friggin' amazing. I see Duce Staley as a RB3 or a flex, but no way a RB2
Matrix
I think that Duce is very underrated this year. First off, no matter what anyone says, Pitt is a running team...and they will have no where near the long ball threat they had with Plax, so they will run even more. Bettis has publicly said he wants a reduced role in the offense. Prior to the hammy injury, Duce was on track for about 1,600 yards for last season. He may not have the speed he used to, but he can break it inside or out...plus, even though they didn't use it that much last year, he has great hands out of the backfield. I'd take him over Suggs.
