fantasyfanatic
I am in a 12 team performance keeper league. The "Keeper" rules are: 1.) Every team must keep 2 players from the previous year's roster. 2.) Every team has the option of keeping 3 players. 3.) You can only keep 1 per major catagory. (IE 1 rb, 1 wr, 1 qb) 4a.) Teams keeping only 2 players will draft a suplimental round prior to the first round. 4b.) You have the option to release 1 keeper on draft day and enter the suplimental round. As you can imagine a lot of studs are kept on rosters. Currently my keepers are: Donavan McNabb, Dominic Davis and Javon Walker ( I traded Palmer for Walker straight up in the off-season). With Walker being in the headlines all off season would you release him and go after a second running back in the suplimental round. I draft in the 9th slot. So if I hold all 3 and every one else drops to 2 (worse case sernario) I would end up with the the 21st pick as my first.
Big Country
For item 4b, do you have to make this decision before the draft begins or can you wait until it would be your turn to pick to decide? Either way I think you obviously keep all 3 players as you have the option to toss the player back in once you see who is definitely available to you. The Darkside
you would have the 3rd rated qb and the 6th rated WR and RB, even if you dont pick until 21st you still have a good start here. and like was mentioned previously you can always change your mind on draft day Edited July 28, 2005 by The Darkside
Big Country
Keep the 3. Do a mock to see who will likely be the first 8 players taken. Figure out who you would likely get at the 9th pick. If you like that player more than Walker, drop Walker and go into the supplemental draft. If you do not like that player over Walker, then keep Walker on draft day. Big Country
I'd probably plan on kicking him back into the supplemental and grab Ahman Green. Round out your RBs with Green and Davis and you ahve a very good base.
DocNiner52
I'd drop Walker and try to get another stud rb.
cliaz
I'd drop Walker and try to get another stud rb. 903180[/snapback] Once again I agree with DocNiner52 here. Kick him back and head for a stud RB.
Dirty Weasel
Keep all 3. None of the top 10 stud RB's will be in your draft, even if someone has 2 currently. If they have any brains, they will trade one away for a QB or WR keeper before your draft starts.
