drummerboy150
Keeping Manning and either Portis or D. Davis. Struggling with which one to choose. Standard performance scoring (receptions count too). I think POrtis can only get better from last year with an improved team and 1 year learning the system in Wash. D. Davis is good too, but can he top last year? Both have durability issues so that is a wash. Any advice?
The Darkside
take a look at the huddle rankings, dd is 6th ranked and portis is 7th, if i were to decide on one i'd take portis. according to the rankings washington has one of the best schedules in football and i think that he is more durable than dd. Ralph Furley
I'd go DD
major-tom
Davis, especially with 1 point per reception
Haskel
Even without the 1 point per reception I like DD over Portis....JMO.
rhippens
gotta go with davis since receptions are points
Wolverines Fan
Probably DD. With no reception points, I'd say Portis.
max
I agree on DD as well
Goopster24
Davis is huge in the passing game. He is a fantasy goldmine. He get's nicked up but always attempts to play through everything. He is a stud and a workhorse back. Houston hasn't really added any offensive talent so his role shouldn't change that much. He is gonna be a stud for a long time to come. Fenokee
I've never been a Big Portis fan, my gut told me to avoid him like the plague last year (and glad I listened). But this year...........I've had a change of heart. changes in blocking schemes at WAS and having their "true" OL back for this season makes me think that Portis will shine this year. Stats say DD has about a 50 point advantage in the reception department over Portis, but I think total yardage and TD's will make this a wash. I won't be surprised if both of these guys are neck and neck at the end of the season points wise. So now you have to look at the upside. I think Portis wins this battle. Whoever you choose, you'll be fine. But, if I was in your shoes, I'd have to go with Portis.
Dirty Weasel
I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't looked it up, but Portis is a year younger than DD. Portis had 1550 total yards/7 TD's last year, so his stock dropped a bit. DD had 1776 total yards/14 TD's and his stock rose. I think I go with DD again this year. ts
One-Two seasons does not a career make, but DD gets the nod for consistency, IMO ... he manages to generate decent FF points even on "off weeks" if you get points per catch ... in scoring, tough to go against DD's 11/16 weeks with a TD vs. Portis' 6/16 last year. DocNiner52
Not a bad decision to have to make deciding between Portis and Davis. You can't go wrong with eother. If your league give recption points Davis is the way to go. If not it's still a toss up between the two. points for receptions-keep Domanick Davis no recption points-Keep Clinton Portis Im a little lucky as I have both of them in one of my dynasty leagues. cliaz
D. Davis all the way. In his division he will get 1500+ rushing yards and 400 receiving. I'm thinking his TD total is going to be 15 to 18 this year. Andre Johnson went a good 6 games withouth a TD last year and Carr still has some problems in the passing game. Portis will be running behind a zone blocking O line this year so he will see an increased in rushing and Tds but not to the level of D. Davis.
