In 12 Team Dynasty--QB's get 4 points for TD 1 point for 25 yards passing--6 points for rushing TD...which QB will have a better year...have Hasselback already, just need a bye week QB or filler in case of injury...

Kurt Warner

Kyle Boller

Rex Grossman

Drew Bledsoe

Trent Dilfer

AJ Feely

Gus Ferrotte

Jeff Garcia

Leaning towards Warner ....thoughts who would fill best--??

:D

Considering its a Dynasty league, maybe you should should look at the bigger picture versus having a stop-gap mentality. Most of the players listed here are dinosaurs, playing the tail end of their careers. Warner would be my choice as a "filler", but long term (and that's how I would approach this), I'd have to take a flyer on Boller or Grossman.

First off, if your draft is already happening, I would cross Feely, Frerotte, and Garcia off this list, because none are guaranteed starters at the moment. Here are your options for Hasselbeck's bye week:

Warner vs Cowboys

Boller vs Steelers

Grossman vs Lions

Bledsoe vs Cardinals

Dilfer vs Texans

Knowing who they all play on Matt's bye week is critical, if you plan to start Matt all the other weeks, barring injury. I would quickly cross Boller off this list, because he'll be playing against by far the toughest pass defense of them all. I would then cut Grossman, because I think his main job is to hand off this year. Plus, Chicago QB's are just not FFL monsters. My next cut would be Dilfer, as he is a very conservative QB with Suggs and Droughns to hand off to. He rarely gets asked to carry the team. That leaves Bledsoe and Warner. Ironically, they play against each other on Matt's bye week. Both have young RB's behind them, but the Cardinals didn't bring in Warner to hand it off. He's got a trio of nice young WR's to throw to, whereas Drew has Jason Witten and a trio of old-time WR's. My choice is Kurt Warner.

While,as Weasel stated, Bledsoe and Warner have the better matchups on Hasselbecks bye week, I think you need to look at the big picture. Who is capable of starting for you should you need to replace Hasselbeck(God forbid as I have him in a couple of leagues). With all the QB's you have listed I think you can cross off all but two, Boller and Grossman. Neither has really done anything but I think Boller's in the better situation. He has better talent than Grossman to get the ball to IMO. Boller is the choice.

Ding, I agree 100%. Boller, Boller, Boller.

If Hass went down & I needed a fulltime starter it would be Warner. I don't think any of the young QBs here have a great fantasy future anyways.

I would agree. Warner is your best fill in choice. I don't see Boller, Grossman or any of the other ones you mentioned doing much in the years to come either.

Warner. Boller may have more long term appeal, but if Hass goes down you need someone to help you this year more than you'll need someone to help you in future years. You can always sign a QB like Alex Smith or Eli Manning as a #3 QB if you want to secure your "QB of the future."
