detlef
Got a call from one of my reps saying that his GM gave him permission to sell some 1999 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Clavoillons at... FIVE BUCKS A BOTTLE. I'm not familiar with the producer Gerard Chavy but I obviously figured what the hell and grabbed a case. I told him if it was cooked I wanted my money back but wouldn't sweat it if it was just "not so good". I mean, that's the chance you take when you're getting 90% off. At any rate, it just came in so I tossed one in the cooler. I'll check in after I taste it.

I am not familar with Gerard Chavy either but I think 99 was a good year as a whole.
detlef
Survey says... over the hill. Not wretched or anything, but the fruit is certainly gone. Just butter and acid. Oh well, win some lose some.
