Here is his unofficial stat line for the week: 1 Fumble Recoveries 1 Forced Fumbles 2 Passes Defensed 14 Tackles 1 Assists 1 QB Sack 1 Interception In fact I would actually put him up there at the top of the list for Defensive player of the year. He leads the league in tackles and has been among the leagues most consistant defensive playmaker all season so far. theeohiostate Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 Merriman is getting alot of well deserved hype in San Diego, but i agree this rookie is coming up huge this season and should be metioned if not win the rookie of the year.
