A couple thoughts from Falcons/Bengals joint-practice

Recommended Posts

Not much to report from the Falcons offense or Bengals defense, as they practiced mostly on the other field far away from the fans (and Tony G wasn't there and Julio was limited with a tight hammy), but I did get a chance to see the Bengals O working against the Falcons D quite a bit.

Eifert - whoa, dude is a freaking beast. he was getting open and targeted a lot more than Gresham, and was catching everything. Then at one point Dalton high-pointed a ball that only he could catch, and he did...

Sanu - far and away their best reciever on the field with AJ not making the trip. Definitely a late round flier. Dude made our DBs look silly a few times.

RBs - really didn't get too good of a look at either one or an indication of how carries might be split. BGJE made some catches, but you can just tell Bernard is a much more dynamic player.

Still think the Falcons D can be a top 10 D again because of Nolan putting them in spots to make plays, but man did the young guys in the secondary have a rough day today, compared to the great camp they were said to be having.
