0RB theory worked last year, did it again.

5th pick, 10 team redraft league. .5 pt ppr.

QB: Brady, Bradford

RB: Foster, Gurley, Tevin Coleman, Joique Bell, Ryan Matthews, and Duke Johnson

WR: Julio Jones, T.Y. Hilton, Jordan Matthews, Martavis Bryant, Markus Wheaton, Breshad Perrin

TE: Gronk

K: Crosby

I didn't select a defence. I took an extra bench player until I decide who to drop. Fact is defences that suck may be good fantasy defences if they create turnovers and sacks. I'll find one mid season that is just as good or better then the first defence off the board. Just like KC 2 years ago and philly last year. People hate the 0 rb theory but I'm out to prove it is the best strategy today.

I think the 0 RB theory can definitely work, but I also think you have to take the best player available, outside the top 5 rb's I think there's a large group of RB's that will have similar numbers, I've done a ton of mock drafts where I didn't take a rb until the 5th or 6th round and really liked my teams, but if one of the top rb's fell to me, I wouldn't pass on him just to stick with the 0 rb theory, I think you have a really good 2nd half of the season team, I think your rb production will be pretty spotty to start the year. I'm targeting the Brady/Bradford combo as well. Good luck this season.

Good luck to u as well this season. I think the brady/Bradford combo is going to work out well this year. Much better then paying top picks for rodgers or luck.

I like it.. if you zag and go zero RB and no one else is doing it then I think you have a great shot which it looks like you have a pretty solid team, of course posting all the teams potentially you could determine who else has a stellar team. I do like the strat I've rarely used it but I think this could work.. You're pretty young at WR so you have to hope those guys take a positive step up and the rookies pan out everything we hear says they should be solid but you know some guys take longer to get acclimated, I'm a boom / bust guy and I like the potential.. You have to hit on your RB's or you could struggle early on but as the season rolls along your team could have some good momentum. good luck this year. The strat works if no one else is doing it if one or two other teams were to do it would be hard to say it's the best strategy and it has to fit your scoring system (standard league zero RB theory = give me your money).

I did win a 14 team league with zero RB theory but we weren't calling it that we just kept getting WR's and best available players.. if I remember we hit on Rudi Johnson's coming out party (I believe we got Rudi because Corey Dillon was still the RB1 so we took a flyer on Rudi), with TO and Reggie Wayne, A.Gates with our first three picks.

I like my draft. I feel confident I can hit on a rb or 2 this year. I really like gurley and Duke as potential starters around week 4 and hope I can run with one of then or both. Any strategy is risky as is this one but I feel comfortable with this strategy. It works for me.

Saying you will get a defense better than the first defense off the board makes no sense at all. If you're in a 12 person league there is 11 other people hoping for the same thing and sure as hell the Seahawks aren't going to be the 12th best defense this year. You might hit the lottery and find that magical team, but more than likely they will already be on someones roster or someone with a higher waiver will end up with that team.

It happens every year. Seattle won't be the best defence in fantasy. 2 years ago KC surprised and was top 5 defence, last year philly. There's always a top 5 defence out there that u can find after 4 or 5 weeks. Fantasy defences don't have to be good real life defences as long as they create turnovers, get sacks and tds on special teams. Philly gave up 30+ pts many times last year and we're a top 5 fantasy d

Also my league plays with a Free Agent Aquisition Budget so there is no waiver priority it's all bidding unless u run out of money.

Top 5 and better than the first picked defense are two different things. You may be able to get lucky and end up with a top 5, but to think you'll get a defense better than Seattle off the waivers would be a stroke of luck.

It happened last year. Philly scored more fantasy pts then seattle. I got them in every league off waivers and philly finished #1 in fantasy pts by a defence in all my leagues. Seattle is not as good as everyone acts as a fantasy team. They finished 7th in pts by a defence last year. Time for people to realize just cuz they're the best defence I'm the nfl doesn't mean that it translates to fantasy football.

If you got them off waivers then you likely didn't pick them up until after their breakout performance in week 4 vs San Fran. And if that's the case there weren't the number #1 defense from week 5 on last year and weren't even close to as good as the Seahawks from that point on.

If you drafted the Seahawks you got double digit points in every playoff game last year. If you had the Eagles as you said you did, then you got 3, 1, and 6.

Seattle was a better defense than the Eagles last year.

I just saw this and got back from out of town yesterday but 4 of the top 5 defences last year were defences that went undrafted in most leagues. Buffalo, houston, philly, and detroit. The seahawks were so bad last year at the beginning of the year u were lucky to still be in the playoffs if u started them all year or u had gave up on them and someone else most likely picked them up. The seahawks d is not worth an early round pick or a mid round pick. It's just rediculous to think any defence is worth going anywhere before the second to last rd of ur draft. Also, u could have played any defence vs Jacksonville last year week to week and outscored Seattle's defence by over 50 pts. Play the waiver wire for a defence, seattle will not be a top 5 fantasy defence this year yet again.
