  1. I had to do the same thing a couple of years ago. You might also try and find a new owner to take over the team. Good Luck
  2. and what does the NFL do?
  3. hi, i am setting up our playoff bracket and the first round is easy. 8 vs 1, 7 vs 2, 6 vs 3, and 4 vs 5. but how should round 2 go? the winner of 8 vs 1 plays the winner of 6 vs 3 and the winner of 7 vs 2 play the winner of 4 vs 5? Or do the highest ranked team always play the lowest ranked team left? thanks
  4. hi, my rb's are gore, pierre thomas, leon washington and wr are moss, Houshmandzadeh,T.J., Higgins,Johnnie Lee, roy williams. scoring is 6 for td and 1-10 rushing and receiving. i have been offered LT for Higgins,Johnnie Lee, roy williams. I think its a good trade but afraid to pull the trigger what do you think? thanks, Dauby
  5. Hi all, I am in a 12 team keeper league performance scoring. My keeper is Frank Gore and I am picking from the six position. I probably will be picking a top WR since the tier 1 & 2 RB's will be gone. I wont pick my QB until at least the 4th round. With our performance scoring Leon Washington & Darren Sproils were in the top 4 in our scoring system. So my thinking is why wouldn't I pick Sproils up in round 2 instead of any tier 3 RB's? I know 2 other owners that are thinking the same thing and if I don't take him with my second pick then I will have to go with a tier 3 RB because the next 2 picks have the same idea. I forgot to mention we get 1 point for return yards and 6pts for TD. Just wondering your opinion. Thanks, Dauby
  6. Hi All, I have a question for you. We have a 14 team league and the entry fee is a small fee of $65. For the past few years have been using a particular website that I as commissioner had to do the waivers every week. I as the commissioner always did my waivers Tuesday morning and print them out with the date and time on it just for proof. Once in a while later in the week if I catch some news about a particular player I might go in and change my waivers but I DO NOT go into the admin page and check out other owners waivers. The problem is that there is always an owner or two that accuse me of cheating saying I go in the admin page and see who is picking up who and change my waivers and steal a particular player from them. I got fed up with the bickering this year and said I am resigning at the end of this football season so find another commissioner. Now nobody is stepping forward and the league wants me to stay and be the commissioner. So I am considering it if I can find a website that does the waivers from worst to first and that the commissioner cant see who everybody is waiving. So does anybody know of a good website that will do this or any idea’s about this issue. Thanks, Dauby PS: Grown men bickering over $65 come on.
  7. Hi All, I want your opinion on my first pick. We get 6 points for a TD and 1 point for every 10 yards. I am in a 1 player keeper league with 14 teams. I am picking in the 7 slot and after talking to teams 1 thru 6 these are the 4 running backs that will be available (Brandon Jacobs/Jamal Lewis/Ryan Grant/Thomas Jones). My keeper is Drew Brees so I am going after a RB. I am leaning towards Brandon Jacobs if I don't get him I will take Jamal Lewis. Thanks in advance. Dauby
  8. As for RB's on the waiver wire there is NOBODY. As for QB's there are only McCowen, Garrard, Green & Jackson. I am 5th inline on the waiver wire. Thanks
  9. I need help. My team is Roethlisberger, Betts, Rudi & injured Brandon Jocobs. My wr’s are Clayton, Evans, Galloway, Hall, Harrison. I have been made a trade offer. I give up Roethlisberger & Brandon Jacobs for McNair & Adrian Peterson. Our scoring system is 6 points for TD’s. 1point for every 10 yards for RB and 1 point for every 20 yards passing. The part that worries me is there isn’t much out there on the waiver wire for QB’s? We start 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, K, DEF. Any oppinions? Thanks, Dauby
  10. For the last 3 years we have an owner that drafts a player that is on the IR. This is pissing some owners off because he uses it to get a waiver before the other owners get theirs. The owners want me to put in a rule saying he doesn't get a IR move if he drafts an injured player. Morally I don't think its right but I think its legal. Thanks for your input. Dauby
  11. thanks for all your input. I declind his offer and offered him McAllister for his first round pick in next years draft. He is seriously thinking about it.
  12. I'm laughing all the way to the bank today. I dropped Joseph Addai and picked up Grossman. Everybody laughed all week at me. Hows laughing now?
  13. My running backs are Rudi Johnson, Edgerrine James, Deuce McAllister, and Maurice Hicks. My 2 starters are Rudi and Edge. I use Hicks and McAllister for buy weeks. I have been offered Deion Branch for McAllister. My WR's are Reggie Williams, Rod Smith, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and Randy Moss. I think its a good trade because I'm weak in the WR area. Or should I keep McAllister and offer Edgerrin James? We start 2 RB & WR in our leagues standard scoring. Thanks
  14. Hi All, I am in a 14 team keeper league. I am picking 2nd and my keeper is Edge. We use the standard performance scoring. The top 7 RB's are already kept. I want to get S. Jackson at #2 pick but I think he will be taken by the #1 pick. If he is taken I am leaning towards Bush because he will not be there in round #2 and I think he will be a star in the future. The good RB's still available are Williams, J. Jones, T. Jones, R.Johnson. What is your oppinion do I go with Bush or a veteran? Thanks, Dauby
  15. Hi All, I need your input on one of our rules. We have a 14 team keeper league. For the past 8 years we have done the draft order by what I thought is the same way as the NFL. We go by worst record to best record in the regular season and the team that loses the super bowl picks 13th and the winner of the super bowl picks last (14th). Is this the way the NFL does it? and if not how do they do it? Thanks, Dauby
