  1. Normal Scoring-- QB's: 4 pts. passing TD, 1 pt. every 20 yds passing NO penalty for INT's of fumbles RB's: 6 pts. Rushing TD, 1 pt. every 10 yds gained I have Kitna (and Griese for a backup), but I am a little concerned about Kitna going forward. He seems to have a pretty difficult schedule, PLUS Detroit is running more effectively now. For RB's, I have LenDale White, Kevin Jones, Brandon Jacobs, Justin Fargas, and Steven Jackson. I have been offered Dereck Anderson (who has a very favorable schedule going forward) for Steven Jackson. Would you make the trade? Thanks in advance.
  2. In a league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB's, and 3 WR's-- Which do you think is the fairest way to score points--so that one position isn't weighted more than another? 6 pts. Rushing TD; 3 pts Passing and Receiving TD (QB gets 1 pt/25 yds passing; RB's & WR's get 1 pt/10 yds rushing/receiving) OR 6 pts. Rushing TD; 4 pts. Passing and Receiving TD (QB gets 1 pt/25 yds passing; RB's & WR's get 1 pt/10 yds rushing/receiving) OR Some other combination--like QB getting 1 pt/20 yds passing?
  3. I have clinched the #1 seed for the playoffs and have a first round bye (in week 15). Which QB would you pick up for super bowl run in weeks 16 and 17? My choices are A. Brooks (plays Detroit and Tampa, but has been pretty consistent all year), M. Brunnel (plays NYG and Eagles, but very inconsistent lately), Fitzpatrick to back up Martin (plays SF and Dallas), or D. Garrard (plays Houston and Tennessee, probably the easiest schedule against the pass). Any thoughts?
  4. Jurivisius vs. Rams Galloway vs. Redskins
  5. Galloway vs. Redskins--tough D, but Galloway seems to get yards on everyone Moulds vs. KC--Chiefs not good versus pass Jurevicius vs Rams--Rams give up LOTS of yards (and TD's) to receivers
  6. Because of all the injuries to my team, I am very unsettled as to which players will REALLY be back to their original form--and which ones I will be able to count on regularly. Do you think I need to shore up my QB spot or my Receiver spot? Please check my signature and tell me which player I should trade Thomas Jones for--Eli Manning or Joey Galloway? Right now, E. Manning is averaging nearly the same as about 10 other QB's in the league (actually the same as A. Brooks, who is available as a free agent), and Galloway is the 5th leading WR in our league. My biggest fear is that the Packers will pull Favre in order to give their rookie some game experience--and then I would have no backup QB.
  7. I couldn't agree more--one of the best guys in the sport. T.O. could take a lesson!
  8. KSHB-TV's Jack Harry (Channel 41 Sports) just reported that sources inside the Kansas City Chiefs organization have said that RB Priest Holmes might retire from pro football as early as Thursday afternoon. Holmes was in Florida today getting a third opinion on his spine/neck after that crushing hit he took from Chargers DE Shawne Merriman two weeks ago. It's rumored to be a lump on or within Priest's spine, and paralysis is the clear risk factor involved.
  9. Thanks for your response. However, let me say--the guy with C. Palmer won't give him up. Also, in our league, Bulger was the #3 QB before he got hurt. Do you think his numbers will continue when he returns? No other QB was more CONSISTENT than Bulger before he got hurt--except Palmer.
  10. Forgot to ask: Before you dismiss this as ridiculous, look at my roster and tell me if you would trade T. Jones and R. Moss for Joey Galloway. Jones is definitely expendable, and I know I will have to give up a "name" WR in order to get a WR who scores consistently. (Part of my problem is I am not sure if Torry Holt is 100% yet.)

  12. Does anyone have any clue if Moss will ever be back to his elite status this season? Is it worth the headache each week wondering if he will be at full strength? What would you do if you had him on your roster?
  13. Any hometown people know: Is Priest Out for sure? What about Randy?
  14. Need quick help on this one. Any thoughts?
