  1. I start 3 WR. I have Roddy White and Brandon Lloyd. Latest reports have Lloyd starting Sunday. I also have Miles Austin but need to replace him until week 6. On my roster I have Aurelius Benn and Greg Little. Little is mostly being held as a potential keeper but he can easily be dropped. Right now I am looking at starting Benn or picking up a free agent. Available FA include Brandon Lafell, early Doucet, Preston Parker, Jacoby Jones, Jesse Holley, Kevin Ogletree and Dezmon Briscoe. This is a PPR league. Do you think I should pick up one of these guys or just start Benn?
  2. NFC west is bad. However their records are actually much worse then they appear. Take out the division games which have a guaranteed win for the division and it gets worse. They did Ok against the AFC west but that division is pretty bad too. The NFC west is 5-16 against the rest of the NFC. Take out Carolina and they are 3-14 against the NFC. Also interesting that Carolina has gone 2-2 against the west and 0-10 against the rest of the NFL. I'd venture that Detroit is better than any team in the west. They beat what is arguably the best team by 38. They have a better point differential than any team in the west. I'd actually venture that every team in the NFC minus carolina is better than every team in the west.
  3. I'm here in Houston. Got the texans game on Fox and nothing on CBS. Will have Baltimore Cleveland later on CBS. I never understood why they can't show games opposite the Texans. I'm not suggesting that they don't show the Texans no matter how bad they are. But why give me this crappy baltimore cleveland game when they could show the steelers bengals. I would think the NFk would want to get as many viewers as possible. I'm sure that the Bengals game would get more viewers than the ravens game. Seems to me like they will just lose some viewers at this time slot who want a quality game. There are surely some people who are not watching right now because there is no decent game on. What does the NFL gain by forcing me to watch the Texans. As long as I'm watching a game isn't that the primary concern. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I'd definitely guess that total NFL viewership is lower this way.
  4. McNair hosts the raiders, cowboys hosts the skins. I'm leaning towards Mcnair against that Raider D. Or will the Ravens be up all game and krrp running the ball.
  5. Ginats would rather go for it on 4th and 5 than let him attempt a 50 yarder. He completely shanked a 40 some yarder. Even his extra points looked ugly. Just an off game or is he that bad. I drafted him because of his numbers last year, but I'm wondering if I should drop him. Plus its morally repulsive to have a ginat on my team.
  6. What do you think? My WR are Boldin, Wayne, Rod Smith and Terry Glenn. My RB are Shaun alexander, ahman Green, Rhodes, Deangelo Williams, Ron Dayne. We start 3 WR and 2 RB and have PPR. I'm thinking of doing this because I obviously need RB help and am strong at WR. However I kind of figure that one of my RB besides SA will eventually come through. I lose depth at WR and some points but figure I still have 3 quality WR. I'm also not sure that I feel JJ will have a great year. I also have Bledsoe, Witten and Glenn already starting and will be heavily loaded on Cowboys if I do the trade. The other guy has Tiki, Steven jackson and JJ as RB and squat for receivers.
  7. We're in the 8th round and I still don't have a QB. On the board are still Bledsoe, Plummer, Vick, Favre, Brooks, McNair, Carr. I think I'm just going to take the best QB left with my next pick. I'd rank the top three as Bledsoe, Vick, Plummer. What do you think? 1 pt per 20 pass yards 4 pt for TD pass -1 for INT 1 for 10 rush yards 6 for rush TD.
  8. Because of our keeper system there is ashortage of RB. I took Shaun Alexander at 1.02. LJ was a keeper and LT was taken. At 2.11 almost everybody including Bush, Dunn and Jamal Lewis was gone. I decided I could get much more value at WR. Since most people had 2 RB I'm gambling that most will not be taken by my pick at 4.11. I took Boldin at 2.11 and Wayne at 3.02. Since my picks the only RB taken were Dillon and Gore. Still left on the board are: Ahman Green Addai Rhodes Thomas Jones Cedric Benson Chris Brown Deuce Lendale White Maroney Fred Taylor Curtis Martin Deangelo Williams We start 2 RB and 3 WR, plus QB, TE, K and Def. We also use PPR. Our keeper system allows us to keep a plyer by using a draft pick 2 rounds higher the following year. So the rookie backs may have some value next year, especially at 5.02. I'm thinking of going with Rhodes at 4.11 and Addai at 5.02. The guy on the swing has LT and McGahee so I doubt he'll pick a RB. I could go Jones and Benson. Or also get Ahman and try and pick up Gado later. take my chances with Deuce? Chris Brown and Lendale White? I'm pretty sure that if I don't pick now, many guys will be gone by my pick at 6.11. However I wouldn't mind getting another reciever with one of those picks. I've got Boldin, Wayne and Terry Glenn so far. I did also keep ron Dayne with my 12th rounder, so I could try and get Mike Bell later. Tatum Bell was kept.
  9. The receivers I think might be available to me include: Chris Chambers Reggie Wayne Donald Driver Heinz Ward Darrel Jackson I'd probably rank them in the above order. I think that Chambers may have a breakout year with Cpep at the helm. I think Wayne is just getting better and is now the main man in Indy. I'm concerned that GB might be awful this year, and with Driver as the main weapon he may always be double teamed. Should I be concerned about Rothlisberger? D Jax seems to have some injury issues. How would you rank these five guys? We use PPR.
  10. If the tickets were cheap I suppose I'd see it. How many people really think to themselves I'm gonna go drop $200 on tickets, but then when another game is on for free, rather than direct Ticket, this is enough to sway their decision. Makes no sense to me. How about all the lost viewers who would rather sit on thier computer and ignore football because all games on are meaningless.
  11. Houston was away. OK so when the Texans are away, FOX can show a game against it, but if they are home, then it will be Texans with nothing else. I guess I get it. What's the point? If the games are sold out anyways, what difference does home/away make. Thanks for answering my question though.
  12. Krazykraft, The Texans game is on my TV right now. So it can't be option 1, correct.
  13. In week 13, they definitely showed the Cowboys giants at noon. Baltimore vs. houston was also on at the same time.
  14. I'm in houston. As a Cowboys fan I'm rather miffed that the Cowboys panthers games is not on. Instead FOX will show eagles cardinals later. Is it an NFL rule that no game shall be shown when my local team is on. Or has my FOX affiliate decided that they would have more viewers for a lousy eagles game, than a huge cowboys game which is on against the texans. If so I think that's not the case at all. We are in Texas and even in Houston the Cowboys are popular. THis is a huge game for them. I'd be hugely surprised if FOX can pull out better ratings with the eagles game. Secondly, sometime when it is a fox doubleheader we miss one of the games. When the Texans are on, sometimes they show no other game against it. Yet sometimes they do show an opposing game. So when does FOX not show the second game.
  15. I see your point and that is why people want to keep head to head. I am pretty tight with a lot of the members. Its a law school league. The guy I beat in the playoffs is my roommate. But about half the opponents I wouldnt really bother to call up and talk trash too. I guess maybe we just need to get more involved.
