  1. Hi guys - long time, first time. Thanks in advance for any feedback. I've been running a league that has been going for several years. Started it in college - but now we are spread around the country. Those of us that are still living between Chicago and Kansas City get together for the draft at a location in a central location ... but we usually have 3-4 people drafting remotely. While Yahoo! and ESPN could facilitate our draft, we've always enjoyed moving at our own pace so that we arent handcuffed to the constraints of the website draft client for whichever site we used (Yahoo! in our case). We switched to an auction a few years ago, and its definitely more fun to verbally auction than all sit in a room and hit a button to bid. We searched the internet for a spreadsheet that would help facilitate the draft as an "online draft board," so that those of us on location could follow along on a big screen or our laptops - and the people drafting at home would have it right in front of them. However, we found nothing. So - we made one ourselves. One of our league members is an excel guru, and has spent countless hours getting this sheet in order so that its easy for everyone to follow along on draft day - and not much work for the commish (or whomever is entering the picks) to enter the selections. We have one person in charge of entering the selections - and everyone else can follow along on their computers or the bigscreen. They only need to type in the drafted players name and winning bid in the draft queue, and the spreadsheet sorts out everything else. Things the spreadsheet does (all in live time): -Live updates of all available players - Spreadsheet automatically updates team rosters and the available players list (by position) after each selection -Live Updates of which players each team as drafted - Spreadsheet automatically sorts each selection into that teams roster by postion (QB, RB, WR, etc) -Live Updates of each team's remaining auction money and max bid -Real time viewing access for all league members - all drafts, regardless if you are in one location, or you have managers spread across the country drafting remotely via FaceTime or Skype -Options for multiple league formats based on different league roster requirements and 8, 10, 12, or 14 team leagues Here is a screen shot of the spreadsheet from last year - after the draft. http://postimg.org/image/5687yj9xp/ We are thinking of posting the spreadsheet for sale so that other league commish's can purchase and use for their league. We would have different versions available for different sized leagues and roster specifications. Trying to get a feel for the demand for this type of thing - I have to imagine there are hundreds of other leagues out there with similar needs? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
