DanTheMan_5
5 of my 9 starters are on bye week 7. Originally my plan was to succumb to a week 7 loss and move on without risking players I dropped getting snagged by other teams, but then came my 0-2 start. I still have a strong team, and I won the next 2 games, so a lot may depend on what happens between now and then. Any creative bye week strategies out there, or others with hellish bye weeks? we start 1qb 2rb 2wr 1te 1flex 1k 1d Week 7 bye players are: Fred Jackson Ahmad Bradshaw Vernon Davis Stephen Gostkowski and Eagles D (no big loss there) I even considered making a trade to give me even more players with week 7 byes, hoping being able to roster a full squad during other byes would give me an edge the rest of the weeks. delusions of grandeur
If your team is already struggling a bit, then it really would hurt you to spread out the byes anyway... I saw a pretty competitive team get their playoff chances destroyed during the byes last year because he spread them out so much that he was never at 100% capacity... There really isn't a ton you can do about it, unless you want to get really creative with trades, or somehow start-worthy players are on the waivers that you can drop dead weight for... Other than that, you either got the depth to make it through the rough week or you don't... Week 1 I laid and egg and the 2nd week I put up the 2nd highest point total in the league, but just happened to play the team with the 1st highest total. My guess is I go into week 7 4-3 probably? Week 8 is a little sucky for me as well as I have Rodgers and Jennings, however the team I play that week has several on by so I am not as concerned. I have no players on bye after week 8, which is nice. Edited October 3, 2011 by DanTheMan_5
