DSFC
I am in a 2 player keeper league in it's 2nd year. The league starts 1 RB, 2 WR, and 1 Flex RB/WR, 1 QB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF (8 subs) and has 10 teams. 1 pt for 10 yrs rushing and receiving, 6 for score. I plan on keeping Addai and Jones-Drew (losing the 7th and 16th round picks) and I have the 5th pick overall. Since running backs are in such short supply, do you think it would be advantageous to select someone like Rudi Johnson or Ronnie Brown with the 5th overall pick over a TO or Steve Smith (or similar)? Based on the keepers, it is not really possible for me to trade draft picks with anyone. I figure I can still get 2 decent receivers in the 2nd and 3rd round, while all the decent running backs will be gone after the 1st round. It just seems like you should take the best player available in the 1st round. Thoughts?
