zwyatt
I don't know if you should go through with this at all. Larry Johnson is suspended right? Addai is hurt and hasn't been doing much of anything. So your RB core is hurting right now. ALSO, Colston should be back this week right? And Greg Jennings is solid. I think you would do better researching the waivers and FA's and getting a good pick-up there.
wad3
Yes LJ is suspended but I have Jamal Charles who IMO will be more consistent than MJD. Maybe not have the break out games but more consistent. Look at Berrians Games: Berrian: Week 1 38 yards 0 TD (3 receptions) Week 2 Did Not Play Week 3 79 yards 0 TD (3 receptions) Week 4 78 yards 0 TD (5 receptions) Week 5 110 yards 1 TD (6 receptions) Week 6 131 yards 1 TD (5 receptions) Week 7 81 yards 1 TD (6 receptions) Week 9 104 yards 1 TD (2 receptions) The Look at MJD: Week 1 13 rushing yards 37 rec. yards 0 TD Week 2 7 rushing yards 25 rec. yards 1 TD Week 3 107 rushing yardS 59 rec. yards 1 TD Week 4 32 rushing yards 17 rec. yards 0 TD Week 5 7 rushing yards 23 rec. yards 1 TD Week 6 125 rushing yards 23 rec. yards 0 TD Week 8 29 rushing yards 19 rec. yards 0 TD Week 9 33 rushing yards 29 rec. yards 1 TD Aside from MJDs monster games, he hasn't done poopy. You could see a huge day from him I wouldn't necessarily drink the Berrian KoolAid just yet
zwyatt
I see your point..... IMHO I think this is a good dea l(Berrian is avg. 100+ yds and 1 TD each of the last 4 games), BUT I second the idea that you should wait until AFTER MJD rapes Detroit's Def. wad3
Yes but, MJD didn't show up against HOU, CIN, or CLE... none of them have good defenses and he was supposed to blow up then too.

If i was to trade MJD (who will keep getting bulk of carries and could explode on any day) I would target a Jennings or a Boldin
jfrankparnell
No freaking way do i ever do a deal like this. If i was to trade MJD (who will keep getting bulk of carries and could explode on any day) I would target a Jennings or a Boldin I guess it's all about one's view on MJD. His upside is 20+ touches a week and a few big plays for TD. He kicked butt in the 2nd half of last season, as I recall. Berrian to me is also a big-play guy. He had a grand total of two catches last week - for the TD and over 100yds. I wonder if he keeps it up... and if Frerotte starts committing too many TOs, will Tavaris Jackson end up at QB? If you think MJD will muddle along, then make the deal for Berrian, hope he keeps it up for another week or two, and then deal him for a guy who's less dependent on the big play. For example, I cashed out on Berrian (got Reggie Wayne).
wad3
Well there is no one in my league who wants MJD. The guy who has Berrian also has Randy Moss, Vincent Jackson, Chad Johnson, Kevin Curtis, and Brandon Lloyd. I don't think any of them are worth the trade for MJD, not even Moss even though he wouldn't do that. He offered me Moss for Jennings and MJD... so he is obviously unaware of some of his players value. I have also been offered the following 2 trades: Trade 1 I Give: MJD, Tim Hightower, and Greg Jennings I Get: Frank Gore and Reggie Wayne Trade 2 I Give: Jamal Charles, Larry Johnson and Steve Breaston I Get: Plaxico Burress or Dwayne Bowe I won't do trade one more than likely. Jennings is a great WR and I think Hightower could be the real deal.. and it doesn't improve me at any position. However trade 2 gives me another WR which I need, and I get rid of LJ and 2 other FA pick ups. If you have any thoughts on either of those let me know too, or if you have a thread open leave me a link and I'll give you my two cents. Thanks for all the feed back though. Infinity
Like everything that has been said, MJD is just going to run all of detriot. However, i do love Berrian. I would make the trade after the week is done. Sure Berrian had a slow start to the season but now he's getting in the grove, hes basically a must start ever since Gus Ferotte became a starter. On the post right above mine, i would decline trade one and 2. Check me out dawg. http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?show...=0#entry2682247 Edited November 8, 2008 by Infinity
