gman62
My mistake on my last post. How about DBrown (I own) for HWard? What do you think? Pit found an air game while Ward is the main target he has no TDs yet this year. See roster and info in signature. Looks like a sell high scenario for me as his upcoming games are listed below (most tough run D's) and only Houston looks like a potential start all the way through playoffs (14-16): 5 @Ten 7 @StL 8 SF 9 Hou 10 NE 11 @Bal 12 @Hou 13 Ten 14 Den 15 @Jac 16 NYJ Pittsburgh's schedule: 5 @Det great 6 Cle ok 7 Min good+ 9 @Den good+ 10 Cin ? 11 @KC 12 @Bal great 13 Oak not so good 14 @Cle ok 15 GB not so good 16 Bal great Edited October 5, 2009 by gman62
jordanzs
I'd rather have Brown. You can trade him for something better than Ward, and you're already solid at WR. Looking at your team, I'd package him with Keller & try to get a better tight end, like a Celek or a Vernon Davis. I have Keller on the bench in a couple of dynasty leagues, and he's not doing much. gman62
I agree on the TE position, but I added the matchups to the original posts. After looking at them does it change your mind? I agree I am solid at RB and WR but it sure looks tempting. Am I missing something? It looks like PIT sees a lot of strong run D teams and this actually helps Ward's value doesnt it. Esp Minn, Baltimore Denver and Detroit I do play this guy once more this week in week 12 where he may very well use DBrown as Indy plays Houston. I can see where Brown will get a lot of easy yards if Indy gets up early on opponents and 2nd half tries to milk the clock. PS He also picked up Celek a week ago or so I could trade DBrown straight up for Celek. Sound like a good trade? jordanzs
I don't think Ward does much to improve your team. I'd never start him ahead of Moss, Jennings, or SSmith, and maybe not even ahead of Walker. I would definitely trade Brown for Celek though, that'll improve your team big time! I traded Harvin & Ginn for Celek in 1 league, and snagged him off waiver wires in another. Last year I rode to a championship with Tony Gonzalez. Although TE position isn't as valuable, sometimes it can be a difference maker, especially in close games. Celek is looking like Tony G. did last year. I do like Brown though, I have him in 3 teams. One of my teams though, which is kinda stacked like yours, he's not gonna do much for me because he's gonna be sitting behind Peterson & Pierre Thomas & Rice. On another team, he's gonna be in the lineup a lot because my other main running backs are McFadden (sucks) & Kevin Smith.
