gman62
Mendenhall given #1 RB spot in Pittsburgh. Am I gaining anything? I think Forte gets more receiving yards. Disregard roster as this is in a different league. Stand def scoring Yahoo non-ppr Edited October 21, 2009 by gman62
imtoolowkey
Reports straight from the huddle say Bears are getting tired with Forte's lack of production. Even still, Forte averaged less than 4 ypc last year. He hasn't done anything to merit consideration, while Mendenhall (who, yes, I am high on) who not only has the confidence of coaching staff to retain the starting job, even after veteren Willie Parker returned. Couple that with a fluid offense, very solid numbers (2nd most RB points since he got the job - 1st : Ray Rice). It doesn't sound like you are upgrading your situation much. A hold and see with Mendenhall can net you at worst Forte (who has not much promise of gaining value) and at best a better starting WR or RB (assuming you think hes likely to continue averaging solid 13ppg - where right now my scoring has him at 32, 16, 14 over 3 games) I would hold off, despite a slight injury, facing a Minn D, and a bye. If you are playing behind, 2-4 record or worse, maybe you take the gamble. If you are ahead and can wait, hold it.
