Anyone pay attention to Projected stats on Yahoo?

Yes, you can gain some decent insight from looking at their projected points, and I do like their projected ranks too (as a quick way of finding waiver prospects), but you definitely have to take them with a grain of salt.

 

Guys get downgraded/upgraded because of past performance and future opportunities, but sometimes too much, and sometimes not enough. In fact, one of my gripes is that they tend to only take into account defensive matchups, and not always the opposing offense, which can sometimes be just as important. However, once you've seen who they like, you can begin to look at it why they have a guy getting those points, and decide whether you agree or disagree.

 

Just like any other source they are nothing more than educated guesses. Same for the Huddle and other rankings, and advice in here. You can't take it as the capital T Truth. We're all just making our best educated guesses. Then it's your job to determine what you think is right.
