raoul duke
The unsportsmanlike conduct on Mason and personal foul on Oher are just stupid calls by the officials. They're acting like NBA refs arbitrarily deciding they feel the need to control the pace of the game by creating fouls.
drewjh
I agree. However, there's no doubt that Mason's should've been a Personal Foul. The problem is it wouldn't have been an issue if they didn't miss the blatant holding on him during the play.
raoul duke
Yeah, Mason was definitely guilty by the rulebook. But the NFL drives me crazy in that going to the sideline off of the field of play and throwing your helmet at the ground in justified anger draws 15 yards. Yet if you blindside the QB at full-speed, then wave your arms in the air like an idiot or fist-pump or jump around all while on the field, that's not unsportsmanlike. So stupid.
