el steeler
Help me out fantasy pros. Big Ben Rape Attack (that's me!) QB: Roethlisberger, McNabb RB: DeAngelo, Mendenhall, Portis, Moreno WR: Sims-Walker, Boldin, Hester, Nicks, Wallace TE: Davis, Olsen Other Guy QB: Brees, Flacco RB: Gore, Hightower, Sproles, Bush, McGahee WR: Welker, Crabtree, Breaston, Berrian TE: Witten, Boss What do you think? I gave him the option to take any one of my recievers and he picked Boldin, says he's an Arizona fan (even though he's trading Hightower). I think I'm fortunate that he picked him. Hightower's a much better tag-along trade than Boldin but I don't know if Welker can pick up DeAngelo's slack if Hightower loses touches to Wells. This is a PPR league so Hightower is producing points (at least 15 pts 5 times) but he's had a few single digit outputs lately, and Welker has been amazing, posting 20+ point games in 3 of the past 4 weeks. Boldin's been pretty mediocre lately and DeAngelo has been studly the past 4 weeks with production similar to Welker's. Opinion? Can I depend on Mendenhall/Hightower for the rest of the season? scooter1891
pretty close...you def benefit from PPR league with Hightower, and AZ has a sweet schedule for the rest of the season...Wells still isn't great at blocking/picking up the blitz, so AZ will continue to use Hightower in some fashion. And Hightower has gotten the majority of goal line carries. Welker should be better than boldin as he is less of an injury risk....and he does well in ppr as well because he plays the slot... hmmm not sure though as D Williams is your only true RB1 while Hightower is more of a RB2/Flex i think if i had to choose, he gets the better deal in the long run...
