So now my starting wide outs include: standard 12 team league for CBS Anquan Boldin vs MIN Wes Welker vs MIA James Avant vs ATL and who do i start at TE? Shaincoe vs ARI Celek vs ATL All help is needed to win, if i win i make the playoffs and receive a bye for first round of playoffs. delusions of grandeur Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Well, while I do like Jason Avant as a decent fill-in for Desean, James Avant hasn't done anything since collecting the Delta Downs Champion Jockey award in 1995....lol. I'd monitor Celek too, because if he can play through the injury, then the matchup looks great for both Philly targets vs. a weak ATL pass D, but obviously Shiancoe is the safer play without the injury concerns, and he's been seeing some red-zone targets from Favre. delusions of grandeur Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Obviously you didn't think my joke was very funny, but ya, I looked it up, and Celek participated in full on Wednesday, and with that news, he shot up in some rankings (and in my view) above Shiancoe. However, Shiancoe has been a preferred redzone target, so he's worth a look in TD heavy-leagues, but he also was limited in practice by a rib injury. Tastes Like More Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 I think the Eagles have a slightly better matchup @ TE against ATL. Since Jackson did go down, Celek will probably get more looks. I think he gets more targets than Shiancoe, but Shiancoe gets the RZ looks.
