the bookie
Hey guys, I'm new to fantasy football and wanted to get your overall opinion of my picks. I'm in a league of 12. Do I have too many/few players in one position? Which players would you drop or trade to get better players? Is there anyone you would change from the starting line up? Here's my squad and I'll put their bye week in ( ): Starting: QB: Tony Romo (4) WR: Larry Fitzgerald (6) WR: Steve Smith (8) RB: Adrian Peterson (4) RB: Marion Barber (4) TE: Kellen Winslow (4) W/R: Steve Breaston (6) K: David Akers (8) D/ST: Dallas (4) Bench: QB: Eli Manning (8) WR: Jerricho Cotchery (7) RB: Laurence Maroney (5) TE: Todd Heap (8) D/ST: Tennessee Also, here is the scoring we have if it helps: Passing Yards 25 yards per point Passing Touchdowns 4 Interceptions -1 Rushing Yards 10 yards per point Rushing Touchdowns 6 Reception Yards 10 yards per point Reception Touchdowns 6 Return Touchdowns 6 2-Point Conversions 2 Fumbles Lost -2 Offensive Fumble Return TD 6 I was trying to avoid picking back-ups with the same bye week. Unfortunately, it seemed like any of the players I wanted to choose shared bye weeks. I didn't know whether to get better players with the same bye week and use them for leverage in a trade or pick up a lesser player, but a better fit for my team. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feelings. And even though I am new to fantasy, I'm very open to criticism. Be as critical as you'd like, I won't take it personal. Thanks! pdog
Don't worry about bye weeks until you have them. Don't draft players thinking about bye weeks, draft players thinking about their talent and what they will do for you for 16 games. Your team looks good though i suggest dropping Jerricho Cotchery and Laurence Maroney they are pretty much worthless.
