neon_24 Posted September 20, 2010 Share Posted September 20, 2010 i picked him up last week after he got 15 pts and benched him this week under Tony Gonzales who i started two weeks in a row, and Tony only got me 1.9 pts this week vs Lewis who got 7 pts on my bench. depending on the matchup next week its going to be hard to start Tony over Mercedes. anyone disagree? Here are my thoughts: Tony G looks old, I targeted him in several leagues this year and I'm regretting it...Ryan is not looking his way and frankly Gonzo isn't looking like he's working really hard on his routes. Lewis looks ok...but the Jags are a bad football team, they are not motivated, Garrard looks alternatively clueless/disinterested...Marcedes at his best is an average TE, but being an average TE on a bad team with a bad QB doesn't make you a fantasy starter. Ultimately I think yes, it's a match up call at this point...I'm hoping Tony is playing as a slow starter this year and by week 6 this won't be a discussion any longer.
