AdamTheMan
Hey guys, I have 3 issues for my starters this week at 3 positions. Should I start: Starting WR - Mike Sims-Walker (JAC vs. IND) – Project: 5.67pts, Starting: 49% Last game versus IND: 6rec/64yds/1TD. The problem seems to be David Garrard, but with the arrival of Trent Edwards I have a feeling Garrard will step up to try and keep his starting job. Bench WR - Davone Bess (MIA vs. NE) – Projected: 5.82pts, Starting 7% Last game against NE: 10rec/117yds/1TD. Seems to compliment Brandon Marshall and New England is 25th in Pass Defense. Bench WR - Jabar Gaffney (Den @ Ten) – Projected 5.40pts, Starting: 17% Last game versus Tennessee: 1rec/9Yds. Denver is like New Orleans, any WR could potentially “go off”, so value is degraded. Starting RB - BenJarvus Green-Ellis (NE @ MIA) – Projected 6.3pts, Starting: 19% Last week versus Buffalo: 16rush/98yds/1 TD Bench RB - C.J. Spiller (BUF vs. NYJ) - Projected 5.11pts, Starting 23% Last week lit it up on special times, but in my league I only get Return TDs not points. Starting TE - Vernon Davis (SF @ ATL) – Projected 8.8pts, Starting 89% This season: 15rec/173yds/0TD – Disappointing so far, but new Offensive Coordinator for San Fran this week so there may be some upside there. Bench TE - Aaron Hernandez (NE @ MIA) – Projected 6.3pts, Starting 38%| This season: 13rec/211yds/0TD –Brady has praised him, but needs to get some TDs. Rob Gronkowski completing for touches with 2TD so far this year. I am leaning strongly towards starting WR Davone Bess (Lit up Miami last year, and the Dolphins offense looks better this year), RB Benjarvus Green Ellis (Fred Taylor didn’t practice Friday), and TE Aaron Hernandez (Vernon Davis is on a team with a inept offense. New OC could change that though). Sad that I could have had Jamaal Charles, but I took Spiller. I liked the chiefs before everyone jumped on the bandwagon after watching them in preseason and seeing their O-line dominate. too much Spiller hype rotted my brain
hornsphan
Personally I'd go with Davis over Hernandez. Davis is their best receiver and has been great until last week. Their new OC will get him the ball...they didn't spend a #1 draft pick on him for nothing. I think its a toss up between Gaffney and Bess...but like you, lean towards Bess. NE's secondary is young
